Is Dissident the weakest song from Vs?

I'm not saying its a bad song. Just that the studio version or the live versions don't do anything for me? I know it got a lot of air play back in the day, I just never really thought it was their best work. Am I the only one?

    Vs doesn't have any weak songs, I enjoy every song on the album, so out of respect for the greatness of the album I am not going to disrespect it by answering, same with No Code, other albums I would happily trash a song or two, but when the band puts out a great album all the way through, I don't feel it's fair, but go ahead if you feel there are weak songs on the album

    No, it isn't, to me the ones I like the least is Glorified G, pretty current with this gun control issue, and Leash, I could easily skip them...

    I think there are probably plenty of folks that would say it's not their favorite, but given its popularity, my guess is that it would be a healthy minority that feel it's the weakest.

    I agree it's "weak". Maybe because I've heard it on the radio sooooo much, or maybe because it's placed on the album in the wrong slot. I do know that when the last chord is played that MY favorite song on the album is coming on...

    it still is my fav from the album, I got the vinyl single thanks to theserialthrilla, I never get tired of that one, but I don' rank Vs at the top, but it's just a lad's opinion...

    Ya know I was planning on giving you a tongue lashing, but I could definitely see an argument for it being towards the bottom of the pile. It is an amazing tune no doubt, but just about every song on there is a monster.

    Put a gun to my head and I'd probably pick WMA or Rats. For those thinkin I may have something against such groove-laden tunes, not to worry. WMA feels a bit like one of their more experimental abstract pieces and for I've never thought Rats was all that great.

    I'd guess if there was a vote it would be Glorified G, but I love that tune. Very catchy and I love the hoedown feel to the rhythm guitar behind the solo. And I don't necessarily agree with the anti gun sentiment, but I think some of EV's best lyrics are overtly political, and I wish he'd do a bit more of that and less of "riding waves".
