the shows i saw in southern california (2003) has Idlewild as the opening act. I thought these guys were great. Easily my favorite PJ opening act.
After seeing them, I bought their current album, The Remote Part, and loved it. It was probably the most played album in my library for two years after that. Of course, I ended up buying all their back catalog and subsequent albums, bootlegs, rarities etc. Basically, I have just about everything the band has ever put out.
I highly recommend checking out Idlewild if you haven't already. I will say you will either love or hate the lead singers voice (perhaps much the same way people are with EV's voice). Much like PJ, these guys are always experimenting with different styles and sometimes the results are pretty groundbreaking.0 -
