Hamilton 2005. Outstanding show. Great week in Canada for vacation

Agreed. My first show, so I'm biased but I really don't think it was just me. Overall I think Pearl Jam and Ed in particular became really reinvigorated about playing live beginning with the 2003 Riot Act Tour and continuing into the 2005 Canada/South America. Although I meant to see Pearl Jam before 2005, I'm really glad my first show was during that period.

Ha don't remind me-this was supposed to be my first show and all I've ever heard since then was how great it was! Thank god for youtube.

Who knew that was the start of the end to major tours....

Good point, and I'm lucky enough to live in the northeast near enough major markets that I can still catch them often but I feel bad for the fans in the South and Midwest.

I loved everything about '05. Went to many shows and listened to a ton of boots.

It was great because they weren't really supporting an album and there was no pressure/need to play new stuff. Pearl Jam was still political and still gave a shit about more than just their kids. It was probably the last year (maybe '06 too) where PJ concerts were a real exchange of ideas and had intensity rather than being just a "fun party" as they've now become.

    I miss those days.

listening to the London boot and hearing the feedback from everyone who went last month, it gives me hope that the band can return to more of the way they were back then, but at the same time I am not holding my breath. and I appreciate that they are still around, of course I am interested to see what this next record will be like, I hope they haven't played their best songs off of it yet

Me too. So I'm just being a total dick?
