Ha don't remind me-this was supposed to be my first show and all I've ever heard since then was how great it was! Thank god for youtube.
on the board it is an all-time favorite of many, many fans in the 10c have it as a top 5 all time

I loved everything about '05. Went to many shows and listened to a ton of boots.

It was great because they weren't really supporting an album and there was no pressure/need to play new stuff. Pearl Jam was still political and still gave a shit about more than just their kids. It was probably the last year (maybe '06 too) where PJ concerts were a real exchange of ideas and had intensity rather than being just a "fun party" as they've now become.

    I miss those days.

listening to the London boot and hearing the feedback from everyone who went last month, it gives me hope that the band can return to more of the way they were back then, but at the same time I am not holding my breath. and I appreciate that they are still around, of course I am interested to see what this next record will be like, I hope they haven't played their best songs off of it yet

Me too. So I'm just being a total dick?

I had the best seats.. first time in a wheelchair, but overlooked the stage.. the usher saw my chair and said, "Why didnt they give you the good spots?" I looked at her like I was in a martian movie... At the MGM in Vegas.... six minutes from my house. She smiled at me, and took me about 4 sections away from the middle of the stadium, up near where they must keep the lighting booth wirings. She pushed my chair all the way towards the stage..right up to the velvet that blocked up back stage from public seating..and Voila..there I was... for the best show I had ever seen in Las Vegas in my life.

I was just over Mike and about 30 feet up and 20 feet in... (big bang theory math time?) ... so great a spot.. the audio was awesome. Ann and Nancy .. whom I could see in the wings the entire time... came out for Rockin at the end... and it was ... just rockin'. It was the only spot where I had no other people around me left or right.. and just two people behind me. I couldn't believe it. Jeff had some friends in the section too, I think because he kept looking up and waving at someone just a few rows below me. If you have the boot.. you can hear a bunch of folks from the local Ute tribe and reservation... and I was nearby-- all doing this one really loud Native/near middle eastern yell. That was us.

At the end, being so far from the entrance, I got to see Boom greeting some folks he must have known, or met before... he was helping breaking things down. The sucky part of Vegas== the Unions here are VERY strict and mean business when a stage must be cleared. So I didn't roll down and say hi to him, (sadly). And one of my favorite moments was hearing Eddie said... "It feels good to be in Love, doesn't it?" as I think his then girlfriend Jill was also in the wings. Everyone was so happy that night... I couldn't imagine a more fun band to watch... and just FEEL as if you're on the inside of when they played. Just a great great show, (after a few years of bad health, and I so missed being part of things..I loved that night).

Sydney #1 2003 was my first ever Pearl Jam concert.
I saw 3 that tour... LOVED it!

Never got my hands on physical bootlegs of the 3 shows I went...

The first show in Sydney in 2003 was my first PJ show too :) .

Have you seen these videos on youtube from the show?
