Darn it you beat me to it. One of my husband's favorite sayings  Right up there with "If . . . if your aunt had balls, she'd be your uncle."

I thought it was this Sunday, damn I left a message for my parents about going out for brunch on Sunday since it's Mother's day.

They obviously think they raised an idiot right about now.

We had my wife's aunt and uncle show up at our house a week early for mother's day brunch... I had a very relaxing day planned... had them two weeks in a row

The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

Most moms just want to spend some nice time with their kids on Mother's Day, unless their kids can afford some really good gifts (i.e. a trip or a plasma screen, not flowers or bath beads).

I'm taking my mom to an amazing Mother's Day brunch at this gorgeous place on a mountain side, overlooking mountain ranges and the inlet (there is actually a gift for her included with the brunch, but I don't know what that is - probably something dumb but that will make her pleased to get something free, like a coffee mug  ). Then a nice walk somewhere, because she loves nothing more than going for walks in new places. All she really cares about is spending some quality time with me (luckily, I enjoy her company too! ... not everyone is so lucky!).
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata

So I just got off the phone with my father . . . and we're going to brunch on Sunday to beat the crowds afterall.

He ended the call with, "I'll tell your mother you learned the error your ways"

this is where we're going, love it.

they have a fantastic brunch, and it's reasonable, about $20/person

yep. and I am not going to remind my sons to do something for their mother, they are old enough to suffer on their own.

I ordered some flowers for my mom. F me! First of all, I don't do flowers for anyone! F flowers! You spend a fortune, a week later they are dead and in the garbage.

So...I figured I'd be nice and get some flowers. $60 for the fn flowers and to get them delivered on Saturday....another $25!
Cost me about $100 to send fn flowers. F!!!! :x
