a huge thank you TO europe!

once again, i had the great pleasure of catching a few shows in europe...and what amazing times!

every time i travel to see pearl jam, it just gets better and better! seeing pj in europe is doubly good for me b/c it combines my fave band with places i adore visiting, revisiting, or checking out for the first time. also fantastic to see old friends, meet new ones...although i always still manage to miss out on some folks...but there's always next time!

anyhoo..,....BIG shoutout to redrock and obi once...thank you both soooooo much for your amazing hospitality....to my ever lovely babs for hospitality and my fave travel/show companion....m'dear civ....great fun....and to ALL who i met along my travels/tour this time around! it has been amazing as ever sharing shows, drinks, meals, stories, etc.....with so many amazing people/fans along the way. i just got home yesterday evening after 15 days abroad, and ALL was simply fantastic...so thank you all for making it so wonderful and memorable! hope to see you all again soon!


btw - i will evenutally get my pics up on the computer so sure to share/post some highlights once i get around to it. :)

    i have some GREAT shots, especially from dusseldorf!
    AND i caught 2 picks, one from mikey and one from jeff that night too!
    beyond that....just great, great times....all 3 shows...AND all the travel and friends....LOVED it!

    Same here, well only one show. :( But had a great time exploring Germany. LOVED it! Met some great Scot's on this trip as well (remember Verona?). I'm thinking our next trip is to Scotland. :) Hint, hint PJ! :D

    PJ are verrrrrrrrrrry due to play in Scotland. The main problem I see is that we don't have great venues. Bands tend to have the option of somewhere small, or somewhere really big. We lack inbetween places. I think it would be really really nice if they played a non-traditional venue like Stirling Castle:

    Remember.... you don't have to wait for Pearl Jam to visit Scotland :)

    oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

    Too bad we didnt meet d2d....even when we had three shows in common (Dusseldorf, Nijmegen and Werchter). Too bad I didnt meet some others here too!

    i was just discussing those with some coworkers today......yikes. ahhhhhhh, the evils/beauty of alcohol.......ha.


    i haven't even uploaded my pics onto my computer just yet, maybe over the weekend. sunday was my only day off since home, and yea...i needed sleep! and to hang with hubby ;)...so yea.......been working since, lots going on with prep for the new job, etc....but i'll get to it, i promise!


    kushi, i wanted to meet you too. :( ask obi, i kept pestering him to text you, etc....someday i hope!

    yea yea i kno i kno.. i was on the verge of texting and than the line started moving and than startled the hassle of the wristbands and by the time all was sorted the 1st act started, my bet.. :o

    haha cash in, that's a way too look at it, for now cashing in would be my Msc and a job that opens the opp of traveling some more.. you arrange PJ I'll do my best to fly over! :)

    I'm gutted I never got the chance to properly say goodbye. I was just wayyy too tired after the Dusseldorf show to go anywhere else but the hotel to get some sleep. :o
