I just ordered John Coltrane Blue Train, music matters mono. Expensive record. Supposed to be off the hook good. The thing that vinyl has done most for me is really introduced me to classic jazz.

I need to get that one, cut by Kevin Gray and pressed at RTI I believe. The only Coltrane pressings I have are reissued URP pressings of A Love Supreme and Coltrane

You got it exactly. I have a Blue Note street grade one now that is just okay. The KG one is evidently the one to have.
  • Davis and Coltrane. Hell yes.

Finally. Great to see it's pressed at RTI and cut locally in Seattle by Levi Seitz.

Awesome. Its an all analog cut by Chris Bellman. I have the black and splatter versions, both sound great to me. Others have had problems with the splatter, but mine seems fine.

I only listen to the black. Splatter is on the sidelines. But I have very sensitive equipment. I also can't listen to the JW acoustic black. I can only listen to the blue. That being said, Crash sounds wonderful. Definitely worth buying.
