When i was growing up he did! he as the best of the easy listening radio station my mom would always listen too. Imagine a steady diet of Barbara Streisand, Barry Manilow, Johnny Mathis and Kenny Rodgers :fp:
i don't know if Mike is on the forums...but you can continue to think that!
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

when I was growing up, we had an 8-track tape player at home and my mom only had a few tapes. Because of this, I know the lyrics to every Barry Manilow song and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

(and don't feel bad, my parent listened to the 'oldies' station...'hits from the 30s, 40s, and 50s' I always felt like I should be riding around in a '57 Bel-Air on my way to the soda fountain for a sundae, whilst wearing a poodle skirt and saddle shoes)

I didn't even get it that good. I had to watch Donahue. :fp:
Hey! I liked Donahue..sure he sometimes had one too many Chippendale shows, but he was one of the first people in the media (that I can remember) to address the discrimination against people with AIDS. Early on in the epidemic, he stepped forward to educate about the subject. Oh and he co-directed Body of War

Oh, don't get me wrong. He's fine. But not when you're 7.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata
