I still remember driving home from Karma Record Store after standing in line to get tickets....remember those days....and Evenflow coming on the local radio station as they announced the show was already sold-out!!
Ahhh, the good ole days of not being able to get a PJ ticket very easily! Oh, wait a minute.....

Actually, it was one of the Brazilians I met during Berlin-1 show that made me think, "If Brazilians come all the way to Europe for a PJ show, why wouldnt I go there" and I bought the tickets to SA tour 2013.
Brilliant thread, brings back a lot of good memories, a lot of touchy messages.
I am also a late bloomer. After obsessing about a year, I got to see them in Arras, last year. I landed at Paris the same day and after checking in the hotel and feeding the wife, we got on the rental car to drive to Arras, which was around 1.5-2 hour north of Paris. The city was almost deserted when we arrived and somehow, I missed the address on the ticket and we were asking French people in the city how to find the venue. Finally, we got there but it was a festival, which means, the entry was far from the show arena and I remember running by the forest, which smelled after-rain smell and listening to Release. When I arrived, Go was being played already. I got myself a beer and then met a bunch of drinking Belgium guys, who were playing a weird game of catching each other's genitals and they didnt hesitate to include me to their game.
To this day, I still cannot forgive myself missing the Istanbul show in 96. I am from Turkey, so that is a special one for me, even if I havent been there. Spoke to some people who's been to the show and they also cannot believe at this moment that they had such an experience in their lives with Eddie doing his climbing thing.
I wish PJ can go as long as the Rolling Stones so I can take my kid (who is not born yet) to her first show with me someday.
That would be April 19, 1992 at the ripe age of eleven (11)! I'll never forget that magical day!! Second PJ show was a couple of months later in August!!!
1-14-95 Voters For Choice Benefit. You had to send a postcard to win the right to buy tickets. I remember when I got the call that I won, I thought one of my friends was playing a prank on me. I was going nuts. 42 shows later I still can't get enough. Bring on the Fall Tour!!!!
9/13/98, the poster for this show is also my avatar.

7/27/1998 - Alpine Valley. My car broke down on the way out of the parking lot at the beginning of a killer storm. Ended up staying in a shitty hotel in Burlington, WI for two nights waiting for a mechanic to open up. Good times!

July 9th, 1995 - Summerfest night two in MIlwaukee, WI
Pure awesome. Ed came out with the Frogs, Mike going on like what felt like an hour long tear at the end that sent him to the hospital for like heat stroke later that night. I still occasionally pop in the shitty sounding illegal boot from the show that I bought from a local shop for like $50.00 that was just a burned CDR for some guys crappy DAT recording....but it's all I got!
I was there too! I was 15. Growing up near Poplar creek- I was a veteran concert goer by 14 and luckily my older boyfriend could drive.
I still hav the t-shirt. got to see jim rose and all that too.
Remember the people in the lawn that were using a blanket to launch people up in the air- until they launched one guy so far he did not land back in the blanket? it didn't end well for that guy.
I also remember Ed climbing.

Flipping Awesome, they played mid day and the crowd was insane! an experience I remember with pure clarity.
Same just I paid top dollar at the time to be pressed up against the rail front stage.
Best money I've spent......ever!
Barrie a close second.

I think if I had gone to those shows, the memories could feed me when I was tired for the rest of my life.

I remember just thinking "holy fuck" at Ed's voice during the opener, Release. Then they launched into my old favourite Animal & the rest was history!
