Just need the pitching to stay strong. And obviously for some guys to start hitting consistently. Burnett and Wandy and coming off the DL soon, and Cole looks like the real deal, at least through 3 games.

with all the injuries to the starting staff, it's been nice to see the call ups (Cole, Cumpton) perform well.

he was rockin it and the hitters were being patient...plus the oakland starter and their first reliever were chuckin junk up there. i could have hit them. that submarine guy...i felt bad for him. he was barely crackin the 80's. most of those guys throw 90+.
pedro is now up over 250..really turning into that power hitter that we needed. still can't believe he isn't in the HR contest. dude has some serious power.
glad they moved mercer to 2nd...it's painful watching inge.

if we could get a good power hitter at first, we might have something here.

The Pirates showed their talent and ability last night. The speed they have is dangerous, and they played a hell of a game last night.
I'm hoping that both those teams can keep it up and meet each other in the World Series.
