Add onto that, that the guy is classy and a style innovator as well. He's a suave guy

This is a PJ message board. And the variety of music discussed on this board is extremely limited compared to say Radioheads message board. Most people on this board dislike mainstream music. Pop music is pretty much ignored.

On the flip side, I love the album and JT is amazing. 20/20 is the best album of the year. Its scope and vision is unrivaled. There isnt anyone in pop music let alone any genre doing this. This is capital A art. Its an artist at the peak of their powers, challenging the art form, genre boundaries, and most importantly himself. All 3 albums sound completely different.

This isnt mailed in pop music. This isnt music made to make JT more wealthy. Its 10 songs, 8 of which are 6 to 8 minutes each, spanning multiple genres and wildly experimental for someone who is undoubtedly one of the biggest superstars in the world. He could have phoned it in, made simple pop songs, and he'd have made bank. Instead he took risks.

Even his music videos are artsy-you seen the last 3 minutes of the mirrors video?

Plus we've still got another 10 songs to go. He has yet another album to be released in the fall,

JT's an innovator. Stunning album. Only Kanye's new one will rival this one in terms of scope, vision and grandness of scale.

Exactly. The entire album is just so well produced. I can't wait for the other half of this come this fall.

Good call on The Drones. I didn't realize they released a new one. I really enjoyed their last two and Gareth Liddiard's solo record.

:lol::lol::lol: Your posts get funnier and funnier. Daft Punk's RAM has more scope and vision than JT and Kanye's entire discography. If music is really your life, you should recognize this. Giorgio By Moroder is better than 20/20 by itself.

Saddle up Sawyerjam, you've got an 10 paragraph multi-post lecture coming your way with at least 20 name-drops of bands.

Really liking Pet Shop Boys - Electric right now. I don't own any of their previous albums, just a greatest hits, and have really only been a fan of their singles, but this album grabbed me.
