Arbouretum's new one is my favourite record of the year so far. There have been quite a few others that I have really liked too.

Arbouretum - Coming Out Of The Fog
    Eels - Wonderful, Glorious
BRMC - Specter At The Feast
    Clutch - Earth Rocker
    Frightened Rabbit - Pedestrian Verse
Ben Harper and Charlie Musselwhite - Get Up!
Sound City - Real to Reel
    Biffy Clyro - Opposites
I Am Kloot - Let It All In
    Tomahawk - Oddfellows
    Bad Religion - True North

Can''t wait for the Mark Lanegan & Duke Garwood one to come out too!

“Put yer good money on the sunrise”

  • Only bought an EP: Metals by Newsted. I plan to buy House of Gold and Bones Part 2 on April 9, 2013 and hope to get Sound City Soundtrack soon. Speaking of Stone Sour, they have plans for a World Tour where they play two shows in each city and on night 1, they will play House of Gold and Bones Part 1 in full and on night 2, they will play HoGaB Part 2 in full. I may also buy Delta Machine by Depeche Mode. I liked what I heard on the stream on ITunes. Need a few more listens to get a really good opinion.

2013 has had a slow start IMO. The only album that will be in consideration for my album of the year so far is My Blood Valentine's mbv.

There are many great bands releasing albums later this year though.

What leestokie said. Much of my music budget has been going towards older albums...particularly Sonic Youth.

I've been slacking on my album listening but I'll put Bankrupt! by Phoenix on there as well. From what I've heard so far of ...Like Clockwork from QOTSA, that'll likely be on my list, too.
