Is the merch at the store exclusive or do you just have exclusive access to buy stuff early?

What I understand it is only those who buy the Wrigley Travel Package will get access to this drooling store. Even if you're a 10club member who didn't buy this traveling package that enters the W City Center, you won't get in on these 10club goodies without a pass.

I get that but is the merch at the store exclusive (a limited edition poster or shirt) or is the store just a convenient way to buy stuff without having to wait in line at the show

That I don't know. But I can only guess it will be something great like what they offered members who bought the Pensacola, FL traveling package.

I wished 10club would offer this the day tickets goes on sale.

This is lame. Unless the proceeds are going to charity I have a hard time understanding why the band is allowing this to happen. Its one thing to put out merchandise for fans, but another to intentionally create a situation where people have to pay a premium to buy said merchandise. Lame.

I believe this will be just early access to the show merchandise, not the same stuff that was available at the 10C store for the poster convention. To quote the email this is an "exclusive event merchandise store." I wouldn't expect orange fixers or bennys at this thing. Just the ability to buy the Wrigley poster/shirt/etc on Thursday and be done w/ it.

I doubt it, but that's just a guess.

They will get something like what Flordia folks did who purchased the VIP packages last year.

As for this store, more of a feeling like last year's Pearl Jam Poster Convention.

So, how close is this hotel/store to 10C Headquarters (The Hyatt)?

Also, is this event on Thursday night going to conflict with the fan club only show on the same night?

Why is this Thursday night? I would think most people are not coming in until Friday which makes us miss this sale :-(

less shows = bigger venues and more creative ways to make money off of shows... (plus gotta keep those people they employ at the 10C busy doing something)...

Personally I'd rather the 10C address issues within the club and questions that paying members have rather than run a travel agency.... but i don't pay the bills around here...

    wait a second.... :fp:
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

I'm all for them making money - that's their right. But it seems a little too elitist when you think about everything the band stands for. Why can't they set up a location to make the merch available to everyone? They can sell locks of hair for all I care, just as long as they give everyone a chance to buy one and not just those who shelled out $700 plus for a hotel package.

People shouldnt jump to conclusions that this merch will be ridiculously exclusive. On the face of it it seems just a convenient way of grabbin what everyone else can at the show.

Plus the $700 doesnt seem excessive for anyone travelling to the show who needs a hotel. In many ways its a total win win that tenc are making the possible and putting this on, taking away some of the stress that goes with making arrangements etc.

I emailed 10c trying to find ways to justify the $730 tab other than a stay at a nice hotel. I asked what merch will be availabe (ie from the archives) or will it be exclusive merch for the performance at wrigley. here is the response:

The items sold for this show in both Wrigley Field and the Ten Club W City Center store are exclusive to this show. But they will both have the same exact merchandise.

so i guess the main benefits for the private shopping spree would be to see the merch a day earlier, safely buy and store your items, and guarantee an item if its limited. i was hoping for something more, like older posters/vinyl/merch from the warehouse, or an appearance with the artist who will be selling his APs of the poster or something. but doesnt look like it. maybe a surprise guest appearance at the BBQ? :o
