JEFF AMENT DROPS BOMBS

OK, so, no new news here, but can this dude throw down some of the tastiest bass lines ever or what? He really is the occult gem in their overall sound. I often try to weasel my earwaves in between the awesome riffs and leads that are the cornerstones of Mike and Stone, to just really try to focus in on what Mr. Montana is trying to say. One more Jeffrey appreciation thread here, especially since the poor guy just lost a friend. What I want to know is this: What are your favorite songs where you love Jeff's bass? I was listening to Present Tense from Hamburg 2000 today. That saucey-little-sauce-bucket jam they launch into at the end of it, before the final slow-down outtro, has him just thumpin and poppin away at the most nasty groove. I could listen to that on repeat every 44 seconds until I keel over. So what are your faves by our own round mound of rebound gettin down?

Not PJ, but RNDM's Modern Times has a wicked groovy bassline...

I love what he does in Hail, Hail. His tone in that song is pretty great, as well.

Jeff brings the dynamic to the songs. He's like a ninja who makes such an impact behind the veil.

Footsteps was one of the first songs that I was absolutely nuts over. I am a huge Bass enthusiast and I don't think it's fair that I even think about this.

His bass always resonates for me
(and now I sound like a junkie.. damnit :o )

I love how everything falls away in Rearviewmirrow and there's Jeff, holding the pulse. Always an amazing moment be it studio or any one of several live takes.

"Dropping bombs" has a different meaning in these parts... I thought this was a thread about Jeff's upset tummy.

    No, but Jeff's awesome. :D

I can't sleep with out this bass line.

I don't really care when he plays it. It's so brilliant.

But this is the best I've found

One some of the 2012 Boots Jeff's work really comes through! The Berlin boots really gave me a newfound appreciation of just how amazing Jeff really is

I love listening to the Improv from Berlin through headphones (I've lost count of how many times I've done this)

In Hiding-love how it cuts across that intro where you'd normally expect some lead guitar line

    Save You-what a monster groove

I can't say he's the best bass player ever or anything, but it's clear that taste and restraint are high on his list of priorities when he's constructing his bass lines.
