I watch the webisodes, but i don't play any of the games yet, The Settlers of Catan looks fun but you need 6 players, it's rare i can get that many friends to agree to hangout on the same night, let alone sit around and play board game.

The year we got on this kick we lived in a house with 8 rooms. I think there were 10 guys living there. Not ideal for your rules based on person preferences. For whatever reason whenever we ended up with a mixed crew we played the card game 'Asshole' for hours and hours. What a dumb game but we had a blast with it.

Sorry about the loss of your friend. :( But I'm glad you have some great memories! An abusive President always makes for an interesting game!!
