In college we played Jenga constantly.
Hitch was that we took a sharpie and wrote something on the bottom of every piece.
    'Chug a beer'
'Tell someone to chug a beer'
    'Give a smoke to Harv'
    'Hit the bong'

    etc.

We did this with our Jenga in college too...
We also had pieces that said "Kiss the person to your left" and "Flash the person to your right"

This definitely required some planning in regards to the seating arrangements...

The year we got on this kick we lived in a house with 8 rooms. I think there were 10 guys living there. Not ideal for your rules based on person preferences. :D For whatever reason whenever we ended up with a mixed crew we played the card game 'Asshole' for hours and hours. What a dumb game but we had a blast with it.

Cheating was an accepted part of Asshole the way we played it....we all knew to watch each other and it was one of the things you could become Automatic-Asshole for it you were caught.
One of my best friends died a few years ago and many of my fondest memories of him are of him being hands-down the most abusive President while playing that game. Good times!

I used to love the board game Titanic, it's from the mid-seventies. You go around trying to rescue as many passengers, and picking up rations, while the boat is sinking, then you end up on life rafts. It really was a great game. Anyone remember it?

  • Anybody ever play the board game Mouse Trap? Actually almost bought it last night, but I'll wait for it to come down in price. Board games are expensive nowadays.
I remember mouse trap. I didn't know it was still around.

    Anyone remember ganip ganop

    Do I know you?

We used to do that shit all the time.

Also played a lot of Risk 2210 under the same conditions... the game always resulted in one of my buddies fleeing to the moon, taking it over, letting everyone else battle for supremacy on earth, and then re-invade the planet when everyone is at their weakest.

We used to be big on board games, particularly strategy games, unfortunately since moving to the US I don't have anyone to play them with.... my significant other does not like games that require "too much thinking."

Catan was always one of my favs.

I've played that GoT war game - incredibly complicated.

Also played a 1/2 dozen other variations of risk... always fun to play risk in another dimension. ;)

And Hateopoly - the game of broken friendships.

Jenga was usually played when we were high as hell on some drug - and it would always result in 6 guys sitting around a table, 5 of them screaming at the one guy's turn it was to screw it up

I only played ticket to ride with my bro there for the first time a couple of weeks ago - fun game. And easy. I'd love to play it some more.

I am a huge Cribbage player... this is probably my favorite board/card game... I've got this super fancy board to play it on too... unfortunately I need to get a better playing partner... again, my significant other doesn't really have the interest, and when we do play I usually wind up beating her so badly she gets disinterested and tries to divert to something else 1/2 way through a game.
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

I got it for $45 on Amazon.

Not sure why I got it ... all I can do is stare at it. Maybe I'll invent some make-believe friends, host a tea party, and play it with them.
