I have some hardcore board games but can't find anyone to play me.

War of the Rings has a gameboard depicting a large color map of Middle Earth; 200+ plastic figures representing the Armies and Characters of the War of the Ring, including the Nazghul, each member of the Fellowship of the Ring, Shadow Army units, Free People Army and Leader units and Minions of the Shadow; 135 die-cut cardboard counters; 100+ cards for Events and Characters; and over 20 dice

It also has a 40 page instruction manual.

My friends would rather play Temple Run on the iPhone. :fp:

i agree with the friends.

In college we played Jenga constantly.
Hitch was that we took a sharpie and wrote something on the bottom of every piece.
    'Chug a beer'
'Tell someone to chug a beer'
    'Give a smoke to Harv'
    'Hit the bong'

    etc.

We did this with our Jenga in college too...
We also had pieces that said "Kiss the person to your left" and "Flash the person to your right"

This definitely required some planning in regards to the seating arrangements...
Show #13 was a lucky one for me....

I watch the webisodes, but i don't play any of the games yet, The Settlers of Catan looks fun but you need 6 players, it's rare i can get that many friends to agree to hangout on the same night, let alone sit around and play board game.

The year we got on this kick we lived in a house with 8 rooms. I think there were 10 guys living there. Not ideal for your rules based on person preferences. :D For whatever reason whenever we ended up with a mixed crew we played the card game 'Asshole' for hours and hours. What a dumb game but we had a blast with it.

Asshole was one of my fave card games. One of the only games that I cheated at....well that and Candyland.

Cheating was an accepted part of Asshole the way we played it....we all knew to watch each other and it was one of the things you could become Automatic-Asshole for it you were caught.
One of my best friends died a few years ago and many of my fondest memories of him are of him being hands-down the most abusive President while playing that game. Good times!
