Lets talk about board games, post some YouTube videos and maybe even a little PJ. I hope we can stay in a positive direction.

I was partial to trivia pursuit. Been the cause if many fights in my family. We're very competitive.

My ultimate opener for Wrigley would be Hard to Imagine.

And song I would love to hear is Undone.

when i was around 3 or 4, my brother and my Dad told me I could not play Operation with them because I was too young.
i bit off the nose light bulb...that was the end of the game for everyone.

Still waiting to hear Dirty Frank....now that would be an opener for Wrigley.

  • In college we played Jenga constantly.
Hitch was that we took a sharpie and wrote something on the bottom of every piece.
    'Chug a beer'
'Tell someone to chug a beer'
    'Give a smoke to Harv'
    'Hit the bong'

    etc.

Worked great until all of the times the pile tipped over and soaked up some beer splash on the table added up and the pieces warped so that it was foolish to play any longer.

Would like to see Release open at Wrigley - may be the odds on favorite.

Song I would most like to see played again is Fuck Me In The Brain. Not going to happen, so I will go with Love Reign O'er Me during the encore. Love that!

Anybody ever play the board game Mouse Trap? Actually almost bought it last night, but I'll wait for it to come down in price. Board games are expensive nowadays.

It's a game that sounds awesome in concept, but doesn't execute very well in reality.

It's only $25 if you want to give it a try.

Played all the time as a kid. I was going to purchase to pass on my childhood memories onto my kids. Not for $25. As you said, I remember my old man saying "lets play mouse trap", then waiting 45 minutes for him to set it up. Only to have the trap not fall correctly

I can waste 45 minutes of my time and mumble cuss words for free

I have some hardcore board games but can't find anyone to play me.

War of the Rings has a gameboard depicting a large color map of Middle Earth; 200+ plastic figures representing the Armies and Characters of the War of the Ring, including the Nazghul, each member of the Fellowship of the Ring, Shadow Army units, Free People Army and Leader units and Minions of the Shadow; 135 die-cut cardboard counters; 100+ cards for Events and Characters; and over 20 dice

It also has a 40 page instruction manual.

My friends would rather play Temple Run on the iPhone. :fp:

We did this with our Jenga in college too...
We also had pieces that said "Kiss the person to your left" and "Flash the person to your right"

This definitely required some planning in regards to the seating arrangements...

I watch the webisodes, but i don't play any of the games yet, The Settlers of Catan looks fun but you need 6 players, it's rare i can get that many friends to agree to hangout on the same night, let alone sit around and play board game.
