  • i thought about writing a song about someone pulling a prank at a maccas, I thought of this prank.
You go through the drive through and pay by eftpos, then when they hand you the machine through the window to key in your pin, you cut the cord, and drive away with their pin-pad... eh eh?

I just dont know how to convert it into song form..

That right there is pure brilliance!
Maybe you should ask Ed if he has any ideas for that. DOnt tell him too much though, he might steal your idea and it could be the new hit single for the boys......;)

Oh, I have a new PJ story from one of Leigh's customers!

This guy came in and had an American accent and Leigh says "where are you from" and he says "Seattle" and Leigh says "oh, the home of grunge!".

Leigh then finds out he's a fireman in Seattle and he has had to go to Eddie's house several times to turn off the house alarm! He said Eddie was really nice and tried to offer him a beer etc. He talked about the house a bit but I won't go into it. The guy just said Ed's pretty cool!

    I need to become a fireman! ;)

And I just had a phone call from this guy and he said his name is Mike Ledbetter. I thought "that's fucking weird" and then thought "this guy's a Pearl Jam fan and making up a fake name" so I asked how he spells it.
LEADBITTER. Maybe I just have an overactive imagination??? Everything reminds me of PEARL JAM!!!!! :D

Well one guy was a fucking ROADIE for them for a year....the fireman story doesn't top that one. Both are pretty cool though.

He also met someone who was a roadie for RHCP and this guy got on with Flea like a house on fire because they both loved and were obsessed with a blues singer and Flea still rings him up occasionally to this very day. He lives in Townsville too.

well Flea has a house in byron bay, and he lived next door to the original bass player of the John Butler Trio, and they got on heaps good, flea seems like a nice guy(oh yeah probably cause he's Australian).

But anyway, my semi-brush with eddie is:

when i was in seattle in '99 wondering the streets i didn't actually meet Ed, but when i got back there was a guy on here telling how he met ed in seattle, and the dude had a photo, and it was outside this store i spent heaps of time at this one day, so anyway the photo was dated the day after i wass there, so i missed the fucker by a day.

And thats as close as i've been to meeting them, except being front row last tour and joking round with mike while he was on stage.

    YO T-E-A-M whats happening?

Had a long bus ride this morning and was listening to a couple of boots> I had the following realisations:
    1. Im gonna go close to crying during Crazy Mary "and Mary rising up above it all" Yep Im a big soppy poof!
    2. The minute I hear that open chord of Corduroy and "the waiting trophy man" Im goin fully sick mate.
    3. I will stand in awe during Mikes Black solo.
    4. Ill be turning and watching the crowd during alive - find it fascinating to see a whole stadium on their feet (hopefully).
    5. Comatose - Im gonna rupture my back and neck muscles.

And at some stage today or tomorrow I will work out how to post these stupid little face things in the text part and not up the top of my fuckin post
I'll ride the wave where it takes me.

he just kept giving me smile and laughing and stuff, he gave me like heaps of his guitar pics, he's really good to be infront of, much more entertaining then stone.

but the funniest thing was, and my wife hates when i tell people this. but she was like leaning on the barrier at the front and i was like standing behind her, cause i'm like a foot taller then her, anyway she's wearing this singlet that shows a bit of charlie, and mike looks down at her, then looks at me and gives me a wink and we both just laughed. it was funny as.

ha ha that's cool! "a bit of charlie" LOL!!!

I've got Leigh throwing peanuts at me when I'm not looking but so I can see then from the corner of my eye and then I try to catch them -- getting in training for catching guitar picks!!!! Got to keep those reflexes sharp!!!

And this afternoon we are doing some more training where he is throwing frisbees at me so I can get in practice to catch a tamborine!!!!

    ;):D
