I searched train timetables last night and to me it looked like trains didnt travel to Newcastle on a Sunday....it takes nearly 3 hrs ..would that be right?? And all the different names of the stations was hell confusing.. Ive been thru Newcastle on train heading to Coffs Harbour about 20 yrs ago....LOL.... Probably best to ring than search the net..

  • just looking at this now, and there is a train that leaves Sydney Central at 9.15am that gets us to Newy at 12.00pm....

for those catching the train, does that seem like a viable time to go as a group?

  • hehe youll be right... we'll all look after you. going to a strange city and having to fend for yourself can be one of the best experiences.... getting lost or whatever just adds to the story :)

i remember the first time i went to sydney... i learnt my way around the city in the first day.
    same with melbourne...
its amazing how much you take in when you dont have anyone else to rely on to do it for you.

    good times.

    peace

The station to get off at in Newcastle is Broadmeadow.
The Ent Cent is directly in front of the station.
Let me suggest to all the people catching the train up from Sydney that you catch an express train cos then you skip all the small shitty stations on the Central Coast and it makes the trip go quicker.

Just remember...... BROADMEADOW (write it down)
