Depends on the acts I suppose. I've only been to 1 BDO and that was in 2000. IMO no BDO since then has come close to emulating the great lineup that was on show that year (RHCP, Foo Fighters, Nine Inch Nails, Blink 182)0 -

Speaking of Hole, I was watching The Comedy Channel on Saturday and they had "The Celebrity Roast - Pam Anderson" on. Courtney Love was also on there and she copped it from EVERY comedian who got upAt one point one of the comedians who was roasting Pammy mentioned that at that very moment in time Kurt Cobain probably looked better than Courtney did
I thought she was gonna kill him. She was EXTREMELY pissed off!!

The thyriod thingy runs in my family, both my Aunties have it and my Mum has it, Mum reckons its almost a given that i'll get it, but i'm 25 now, so wondering when i'm more likely to get it, if any???
I've been tested yearly for it, and last result was just a tad up, so keeping an eye on it.
What are your thoughts? What were your symptoms? (if you dont want to talk about it here thats cool  )
oh thats cool - i didnt even know, i just lost all this weight, and stoped sleeping and went off into lala land for a while - all i really remember of how it felt was it was like being on speed 24hrs a day, i couldnt sleep, i couldnt shut off, i just couldnt stop ... everyone wondered if i was on drugs, but i guess working at a hospital has its advantages - they draged me off and the doc took some blood, and there it was. normal high range is about 5.0 and mine was up in the 60's or some bloody ridiculous level, so off i went to a endo and i had to take blockers for a couple of years cos every time they took me off them it would just skyrocket again. i then had 3 rounds of radiotherapy to kill it off and now i have to take the artificial thryroid drugs for life.- is funny cos i was the sort that never even took a panadol.
so i just have to have a blood test every year to check the levels are ok. i still dont sleep much tho, and my memory is still really scatty at times. whole chunks are just gone. and short term, people will tell me something, and ill just completely forget.
you usually get symptoms around 30. loose weight, stop sleeping, eat like a horse, memory loss, shaky, increased heart rate, erratic and anxious and irratable, and you get a kind of 'deer in the headlight' wide open thing with your eyes. I wasnt too bad there thankfully, because that doesnt go away. And it is hereditary, yea. More common with girls tho.impatience is a gift ........0 -

yellowled24 wrote:What about during the Dockers match when McManus retired, his bloody last AFL game of his career, been with the club for his whole career...and Dockers came through with a win.
Channel 7 didnt show them doing the lap of honour or anything like that, same with the Dockers song at the end, never showed that either, instead they played commercials, and we counted the same one twice
There was no reason why they couldnt show his team song at the end, instead of fucking car commercials...
I couldnt understand it?
I know you'll all say its coz of the Dockers and thy're shit, but in all reality, it was a complete letdown :(0 -
yellowled24 wrote:Same in Dunnybrook, but atleast it's starting to look a bit like Spring with these sunny days :-D
Are you feeling better Kylie?
Are you still flat out with your business? The days have been beautiful! BUT....Spring is when Dwelli gets the coldest temps :(
Feeling a little bit better - not much though. Always the same with me.....rarely get colds n flu's, but when I do....it goes straight to my chest and stays for a while......that's what I get for smoking like a chimney for so many years, I guess
.....and yes....still flat out trying to get my new web site finished. Was doing a minimum of 16 hours a day on it every day last week.....but I'm starting to see a light at the endof the tunnel now, so hopefully can get some sleep soon .....some rest might help me shake this stupid cold/flu as well.
