    I've never met him but i've seen him surfing a few times down byron way, he is one of those surfers who just loves surfing and always has that stoked look on his face when he is surfing. The real surfers. :D

    It was quite funny cos Brendan and myself were standing just above the showers. When the expression session finished they all came out of the surf, hugged Occy and made their way to the shower. A crowd of people followed them, waited for them to finish their shower and went in for autographs. They pushed their way past Egan, Law, Hoy and Occy and went straight for MR. Poor bastard looked so embarrassed. Here was this special occasion to celebrate Occy's career and all the kids wanted was MR's signature.

    I would have gone straight to Occy and said thanks for the influence on so many people mate, then started to sing pearl jam really loud so MR would come over to me. ;)

    Yeah that's what I would've done, minus the singing PJ. Only because MR would come over to me anyway ;)

    Seriously though, to come back from what Occy had to go through, and
    then become World Champion takes guts and determination. He's a role model for everybody
