Powderfinger announce interactive tour
Powderfinger have announced a new intimate and interactive national tour that will give their fans the "ultimate" concert experience.
Returning to theatre venues for the first time in eight years, the ARIA Award-winning Brisbane band will perform two hit-filled sets - an acoustic set and a rock set separated by an intermission.
The Upstairs at the Downstairs Tour will also give ticket buyers the opportunity to help choose the band's set list, by voting for their favourite Powderfinger songs online.
"For this tour we're doing something a little different, something a little more intimate," guitarist Darren Middleton said.
"We're trying a concept we've never done before on a tour, and that is to split the show into two halves.
"One of our main focuses for this tour is to make it a little more personal and have more interaction with our fans and what they would like to hear us play.
"Hence, they're choosing our set list... we will be at their mercy!"
The tour will take in the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth in June supported by Victorian singer Whitley.
Tickets for all shows go on sale on at 9am Friday, April 11.
Powderfinger's Upstairs at the Downstairs tour dates:
* Lake Kawana Centre, Sunshine Coast - June 6
* Tivoli, Brisbane - June 9
* Enmore Theatre, Sydney - June 11
* The Forum, Melbourne - June 13
* Thebarton Theatre, Adelaide - June 17
* Metro City, Perth - June 19condescending and sarcastic since 19800 -

Nice!!
Somehow I have a sneaky feeling that "Tail" still won't make it on to the setlist, but you never know, stranger things have happened.
It'll be good to have the chance to hear some old stuff though, that I haven't seen them play for quite a few years such as Living Type, Boing Boing, Belter, JC, d.a.f., Up & Down & Back Again etc
So who's gonna go?0 -
