    long time no see everybody.

Unfortunately I now live in Sydney :(

It's been a while and now suddenly I discover that there are DVD boots floating around from Aussie shows claiming to be orginals mixed by the band.

Can anyone verify? Or did the band release them themselves?

Still getting used to Sydney - been here for 6 weeks now

Working for Westpac in their operations center.

Hopefully by the end of the year I will have paid off the loan for my Pearl Jam tour

But even more hopefully I have to redraw to do it all again :)

An Eddie solo would be awesome he can just bring his surfboard, play a few tunes at night and surf around Aus!

But very much looking forward to a new album - might even try to persuade the gf to go to the US for a few weeks......

Rob's waiting to see if he can get some inside info on that ;)

I doubt if we'll get any solo Ed down under.....but it's not out of the question IMO.

    I hope so

I finally caved and put my DVD on a couple of weeks ago.
Glenn had bought it back from Christmas Island for me last October and I hadn't watched it because I wanted to see it on the big screen first. I realized I wasn't going to get to see it at the cinema, so finally sat down to watch it and :( :( it was a crap copy.....the 2 big black strips on the top and the bottom of the screen. Only 1/3 of the screen was actual picture :(
    So.....I STILL haven't seen it :(

    afternoon all

anyone know of a simple fix for scratched discs - rileys guitar hero is a bit scratched - as all kids discs end up being - but this scratch is curved, not straight, and the disc wont read.

Oh no :( I hear ya about kids not looking after discs
Hmmmmm? I have no idea?? We have one of those CD clinic things....but only really use it to clean discs....don't know if they actually work as far as repairing (they claim they do, but???)

they also can 'shave ' the surface or something - i spose it cant hurt, the disc wont work anyway

also activision have a 'replacement' disc offer going on guitar 3 because apparently they released games to europe and australia in mono sound instead of surround - small thing i know, but you are allowed to register for a replacement disc to be sent out at postage cost - ill give the phone # a ring tomorrow and register - you never know, we might get a replacement that way, fingers crossed

That's right.....I remember the guy at the record store I go to saying that.....I think it's only about $5....so like you say....nothing to lose.
.....and try for a 'replacement' disc as well :) I'm gonna check ours and see if I can go for one.....won't hurt to have one on standby, just in case :)

I've been wondering that as well.
I'll send an email to Paramount because I'm curious about this too. It might be that Paramount might pull a 'fast one' and release a 2 Disc version a month later like they sometimes do.
I'll let you know if I get a response
