You know I was just thinking about the 'new' album at the gym - coz Jeremy came on and as someone stated in another thread, you'd think if Ed can write an album like ITW in such a short space then a group of equally talented guys should be able to get something together fairly quickley and hows my sentence structure going at the moment hey Fullstop!

That being said sometimes I reckon that you could over think things and I think that may have been the case with the Avo - whilstI like it very much it did take a long time and they did say that it was some of their best work - looking at it now I tend to disagree.

Thoughts?

I think they should have hurried the fuck up and not have visited Canada before the album was finished. Finish the friggin album before you tour. What was the point of going to Canada anyway?

I don't know if the Avo has the timelessness (word?) of other albums. I put on songs like Worldwide Suicide and I just don't like it as much now as when I did when it came out.

Love Comatose although I admit its pretty straight forward.
Severedhand has dropped terribly for me. WWS still good but I agree with the timelessness thing. The rest I just hardly listen to.

Come Back I thought was awesome when I first heard it. I wont pass judgement on this coz I hardly ever hear it - reckon thats s stayer off the Avo. Oh and LW still stands firm

I LOVED Marker.

I HATED Parachutes.

Yesterday I asked Leigh to hand me some cds for my car and he handed me Avo and I gave it back. I just can't bring myself to listen to it at the moment. Think I went a bit overboard on it for a year or so.

Didnt mind Parachutes actually for a slow one. Never got into Army Reserve or Inside Job - while I like them both I never understood the love for them. Unemployable was and still is one of my favs off that.

Big Wave I like except for the chorus and Gone - well think Id rather listen to that milkshake song...my milkshake like is like better than yours like.

I can't believe you reminded me of that Milkshake song....I can't friggin stand it....and now it's in my head -- well, the one line I know -- which I don't really know the words of properly -- yet it sticks in my head.

Im still fascinated that people actually buy the shit. Seriously they play ALL the latest crap at the gym so I see and hear it. Some of the artists out there (especially the black americans) put out the biggest load of crap Ive ever come across.

Half the songs these days are old classics with a stupid friggin beat attached to it. Get some originality.

Another good one was my hump my hump my big fat black arse lumps. Purely tragic
