Exactly. My dogs are like my kids now. Nicky sits in front of me on the desk while I'm on the computer sometimes.Sydney, Australia - March 12, 1998; Sydney, Australia - February 14, 2003; Sydney, Australia - November 8, 2006; Sydney, Australia - November 25, 2006; Brisbane, Australia - November, 2009; Gold Coast, Australia - January, 2014, Gold Coast, Australia - November 20240 -

Want to stay in our new house up north for a week and have to decide what to do with them now.. whether to put them in a boarding kennel for a week or take them with us. Also we need someone to look up our two budgies and feed the fish.
They've already been moved onto new owners recently and sound like they've settled very happily with you and your man. It would be so confusing to leave them with someone else :( and they'd miss you heaps.0 -

I'd miss them heaps too. The only problem is settling them down while they're in the car with us on an 8 hour drive up north.
We've been on short drives with them and the noise drives us crazy. Any suggestions??Sydney, Australia - March 12, 1998; Sydney, Australia - February 14, 2003; Sydney, Australia - November 8, 2006; Sydney, Australia - November 25, 2006; Brisbane, Australia - November, 2009; Gold Coast, Australia - January, 2014, Gold Coast, Australia - November 20240 -

that's gorgeous, Eileen! I was thinking the other day that they've kinda become your kids
I think You'd miss THEM, too, if you left them while you're up North0 -

Hmmm? maybe you could ask a vet? might be a sedative you could give them or something??
Hey! I wonder if theres a sedative I could give my kids:eek: LOL!
Might be an idea to take them in the car with you whenever you can.....even if you're just going to the shop etc; (of course, don't leave them in the car for long periods).....just so they can hopefully start getting used to it??0 -

Don't want to give them sedatives from the vet though are they are not young dogs.. 10 and 11 years old. Imagine if it killed them or something. :eek:Sydney, Australia - March 12, 1998; Sydney, Australia - February 14, 2003; Sydney, Australia - November 8, 2006; Sydney, Australia - November 25, 2006; Brisbane, Australia - November, 2009; Gold Coast, Australia - January, 2014, Gold Coast, Australia - November 20240 -

Nicky is very attached to us both.. he's a real people dog, whereas Star will just sleep outside on the deck all day and only really wants us for his food.Sydney, Australia - March 12, 1998; Sydney, Australia - February 14, 2003; Sydney, Australia - November 8, 2006; Sydney, Australia - November 25, 2006; Brisbane, Australia - November, 2009; Gold Coast, Australia - January, 2014, Gold Coast, Australia - November 20240 -

Firstly in excitement at the fact that you said you'd received your single.....and then laughing at the songs......I was about to reply with a big BULLSHIT!!! untill I scrolled down and saw the 'wink'0 -
well, I'd better get on with work....and Glenn will be home soon. It's that wonderful  day of the year, when he finishes work early to come home and get changed to go to his work Chrissy party (ie; drink til they all spew and perve at dirty stripper sluts, that do gross things with fruit etc  )
For the first time ever though.....I'm NOT dropping him off and waiting for him to call at some rediculous hour to go pick him up......his Mum and Dad live close to where the party is so he's staying there the night - YEY!!!! That will prevent me getting totally pissed off with him, like every other year - his Mum can clean up after him0 -

Yes it's finished. My guy is up there now and got the keys to the house yesterday. We are going to leave it empty but have installed alarms etc and it's in a safe area where neighbours can see the house so it should be okay.Sydney, Australia - March 12, 1998; Sydney, Australia - February 14, 2003; Sydney, Australia - November 8, 2006; Sydney, Australia - November 25, 2006; Brisbane, Australia - November, 2009; Gold Coast, Australia - January, 2014, Gold Coast, Australia - November 20240 -

haha. I know how you feel. Many years ago my guy got so drunk at his work Christmas party he ended up falling in a creek. Apparently he'd gotten in a taxi and started vomiting and the taxi driver threw him out. He then started walking and hitched a ride but they threw him out because of the smell. Finally the police picked him up and brought him home. I found him in the bathroom floor the following morning. He was too drunk to make it to bed. I'd been to my work Christmas party that night as well and fallen asleep in the lounge room on the couch so didn't hear him come home. I screamed when I saw him and he stunk! All I could do was somehow drag him into the shower and turn on the cold water. :eek:Sydney, Australia - March 12, 1998; Sydney, Australia - February 14, 2003; Sydney, Australia - November 8, 2006; Sydney, Australia - November 25, 2006; Brisbane, Australia - November, 2009; Gold Coast, Australia - January, 2014, Gold Coast, Australia - November 20240 -
