    Don't say sorry.
That's why I popped in here. I'd spent a good hour and a half crying after the last call I got and needed to pop in here to get my mind off it and cheer up.

I was told a few hours ago, that he doesn't even know who Moni (his wife) and kids are and couldn't feel his legs still so was having MRI scans.
Had another call about 2 hours ago confirming he'll be in a wheelchair. I don't know if it's Para or Quadra?? And I don't know what other injuries he has yet.

Its just fucked!!! I know it sounds cliche, but he is the nicest guy!!! Him and I have seen the sun come up so many times, drinking and listening to Pearl Jam. We've had a lot of great times.
I just feel so helpless. I can't even imagine what poor Moni must be going through at the moment :(

No-ones working here tomorrow. It was really traumatic for all the guys there as well. They all saw it happen and had to rush to all cut the tree up to get it off Pete......as well as the fact that it's going to be on all their minds and their families minds while they're working now.

i'd kick him in the shin and say "That's for Into The Wild"

and then run like all fuck.

I think his bodyguard Jesse (ex Marine sniper) might have something to say about that

    LOL! :D

Funnily, I was only talking to Leigh about this scenario on Sunday. Imagine if Ed came over, hugged you, signed your shit, had a photo etc then as you're shaking his hand for the last time, you say "Thanks, SHORT STUFF" and just walked away. Fuck I laughed! I walked around the house all day saying ""Thanks, short stuff" all day. Anyway...guess you had to be there! ha ha :o

I just read back and saw this....how very very sad. Fuck life is precious and can change in the blink of an eye. :( I pray nothing like this ever happens to me or my family....heartbreaking.

Never mind that. The real one is locked away safely in a secret location. The one I have on my wall is one of a few copies I have for security purposes :D

From what I've been told....not much chance :(
Not sure what Monique and the kids will do...apparently he has at least 4 months in Shenton Park Hospital (rehab) after he leaves the hospital he's in now. I'm thinking they might have to move up to Perth to be closer :(
A girlfriend, who's hubby works with Pete has just left here and said that CALM have over $10,000.00 in their social club bank account that they have now all decided to give to Moni and Pete to help and I'm sure there will be a lot more fundraising to come.
I just keep thinking of how this is just going to turn their lives upside down. They went to the Gold Coast over the Chrissy holidays and ran a muck at Wet n Wild and were planning to go back again next Summer :( Even little things like picking the kids up from school etc etc he won't be able to do. Their whole house will need to be modified. It just goes on and on. Not to mention the fact that they now have no income. He's only 38 and (was) a fit, healthy, very active guy. Just like that! It's all gone.

Poor Glenn's been ringing all day - he's devistated and in shock still. It's a real shake up - you just NEVER know!

I'm trying to just think positively at the moment and thank goodness he's alive!!

Shitloads of development in Newie. Half of the CBD is a construction site. It's gonna be fantastic when it's all finished though.
