I don't know substitute... when they played it I was lost... and with it being last song I was a bit disappointed... but i guess they had to play a cover together. I'm about to google Substitute... maybe I needed to be old to know the songthreefish10 wrote:Um, i heard they both came out at the end and played Substitute, how cool would that have been.

Powderfinger were good and I want to see them again.
I think Silverchair have completely lost the plot with their new music and Daniel was being a bit of a goose, although I thought he sounded great.
Yes I was there.... E.K... Daniel Johns was a bit weird (but i don't mind him)... funny accents to announce shit... but they rocked, he tore up the guitar.. i was in awe of his playing, all the guys rocked it out.... and they played the songs very damn good, i'd never see nthem before live, but i was happy i have now. I was watching Silverchair, turned to my mate and said... "I can't believe this... We're listening to this... THEN Powderfinger are coming out..." He made a comment about me blowing something along the lines of a load.... haha
Powderfinger were great too as you may have gathered
Sunsets was ordinary.. (to anyone whop was there you know I don't mean that)... I had no voice left...
All that after seeing Snow Patrol kick arse the night before.... pity i was second floor section for that heh. glad to be tall in that case! What a fucking awesome weekend... the city was also dead afterward.... found a few packed pubs though in amongst the silence...0 -
I must say though... silverchair attracted the one knob in the crowd, he didn't reappear for Powderfinger, so I was happy

Maybe people thought I was a knob cos I blocked their view though heh. Sorry to all the shorties out there behind me...I'm not THAT tall, I did try to stand near other tall people in consideration
I'm so nice haha
E.K. I hope you weren't sitting down when Bernard told everyone sitting down to stand up! You're in trouble if so! Oh and did you get a good view of the "Stage Diver" smashing his head on the metal barrier between the stage and the crowd? Little monkey... he was pretty quick.. i suggest anyone who stage dives.. jump up.. not straight out like superman... ha!0 -

They obviously need a lesson in classic rock
The Who are one of rock musics pioneer acts. They took music to a completely new level.
"Substitute" beats the shit out of "Straight Lines" :mad:0 -
