  • sweet... :)
was listening to PJ on the way home and quizzing myself on the names of the songs... you know how sometimes you listen to an album over and over then you realize you dont know the song names!! then I thought a trivia contest could be fun :D:D

i'll get my thinkin shoes on :)
    I am THE worst at knowing what song is from what album etc;
I just listen to it....rarely read the covers. The kids or Glenn will quite often come and say "what's this song?" or "what CD's this on?" and I have to get the cover to check :o C.R.A.F.T!!!!!

Pearl Jam I've got down pat.
Back in the old days, before CD burning, my mate used to know EXACTLY how long each song lasted for, so that he could make PJ mix tapes without running out of space halfway through a song

thats crazy!! ahh the good ole days.... now I fit nearly the entire PJ Collection on one disc.... this world is moving way too fast.

remember sittin gup listening to the top 40, and taping your fav songs!! getting in just as it started! and having that damn radio dude talking over the start of the song!!

actually, I remember one day taping off the radio, and mum was cooking. She turned on the Sunbeam Mixmaster and the radio disruption made it go all fuzzy!! It was Lisa Loeb "stay"

Gawd! I remember doing that.....and then I'd play the song , pausing about every 10 secs to write down the lyrics. I hear some songs now and realize how wrong I got some lyrics...LMAO!!!

I must have written down a bazillion song lyrics from the top 40!! Thats too funny!!
    and now we have google.
you see, this is why we dont remember things like we used to Kyl, back then, we did it the hard way, although it was the best way ....cognitive learning.
Now we google song lyrics... and thats it.

hahaha, remember by the time you had all the lyrics written down, you didnt need them anymore because you had listened to the song so many times...fast forwarding and rewinding, that you knew it all by the end!!!!

You can add "Battle of Evermore" and "Moby Dick" to that list.
Still gonna get it though because I'm sick of "Remasters" and it's early 90's quiet CD audio :(

preeeeeecisely! That's the ONLY way that would work for me when I was doing all my exams....just write things over and over til they were memorized.
  • LMFAO!!!! Classic!! what did you do? Just say thanks and ride off into the sunset? :(

nah.... i kinda liked him a bit.... well actually.. I had a crush on him when I was in primary school (he was about 3 years older and went on the same bus)
I remember riding to his bus stop one evening (about 1 km from my house) and leaving a love letter for him on the ground, with rocks holding it down.
everyone on the bus knew about it and they were all trying to figure out who the letter was from, as I left it anonymous!! his older sister saw me riding that way that night and told him it was me... I was so embarrassed .... like the most I had been in my young years, but I swore black and blue that it was from another girl that got on the bus at the same stop as him! I think in the end I had them fooled... i was about 11.

then we moved to a new place when I was 12, and of course his family moved there also. so we stayed friends and as I got a little older he developed a crush on me. it was the longest crush ever!! but he never got anything from me.... I guess i liked other boys then... not even a Vitalogy tape was gonna sway me!

finally, he met a fab girl, who I became friends with and now they are married with kiddies :)
he who forgets will be destined to remember
