Do u know why they did 1 show at the Music bowl then the other 2 at the Tennis centre??
They could not have liked the Music bowl much cos they havent been back there......
To mix it up, as it was their first time? Maybe they thought the place was massive because of the whole 'Australia is massive' vibe looking at a map gives... (like charting new countries on a holiday... you have no idea how big it is until you get there ).. in Sydney they did an Eastern Creek Concert... then a couple at the Entertainment Centre.
So maybe they thought they needed to spread themselves out around the major cities....
Vitalogy is fucking great... and as i'm typing this immortality just came on....
One of the first songs i tried to play on guitar hehe
Yeah perhaps the drumming sounded different cos they toured only 3 mths after the release of Vitalogy............. I liked Jacks drummer on the later albums...
I did notice listening to the tape the drumming sounded different...

Yeah although the tennis centre and the music bowl are in sight of one another...
Ive only seen Metallica in the Ga area and RHCP in the seated area at the Music bowl......the RHCP seats were awesome but it lacked that closesness that u get in an arena atompshere....

Every time they've come they sounded different.. it's all about them getting better with touring... even Mike's guitar solo's and the way they play songs has grown

Don't destroy me for this, but I'm not a fan of Jack Irons' drumming work. He lacks IMO the aggression on the drums that compliment Eddie's vocals.
Dave and Matt both have/had the "X-Factor" that Jack missed

I reckon there sound at the moment is spot on...
They have just got better and better....
I think with Matt they are complete now...and Boom...:p

Never underestimate the power a keyboard player brings to a band. Powderfinger have a keyboard player now, and IMO the keyboards add a new dimension to their back-catalogue

Yeah I agree with u....I dont dislike Jacks drumming, but listening to the 95 concert I noticed straight away the drumming was different but I was thinking that it was DaveA, I have only heard Matt drumming live. Ive only heard Dave A's on 10 V's and Vitalogy. But then when u said it was Jack it made sense, it was only 3 mths after the album release which Dave A did the drumming. So this was the start of Jack's drumming for Pearl Jam.
I hope this makes sense...LOL...

Yeah gives it that depth and fullness....some of the back catologue sounds better.
Yeah well last time she was here was months ago, and she was getting a new computer. It was way b4 August cos I asked her if she wanted me to get Riley a Gwen Poster and that was in July when I asked her.
Man, I have made a website for Leigh, got the domain name http://www.leighchalker.com, bought a hostage package or whatever it's called, thought I was ready to go.
But the fucking instructions on how to fucking upload the site onto the net are fucked and the techincal support is only available Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5pm. I've been coming home at lunch every day for the last 3 days and fucking ringing them and sit on hold for over 30 mins then the hold message changes from "thank you for holding...." to "please leave a message and we'll ring you back". HOW? I'M AT FUCKING WORK MORONS!!!!
Really wish I didn't go with these guys now! I really need this website NOW....but I've been fully booked with appointments and can't get home.
