oh yea - i liked the smurfs too. i also remember that bp servos used to have some sort of deal with smurf figures, and i remember i used to always nag dad to tears when we were driving home from canberra at the servo in yass.

you know im sure those things are worth money now - if only i still had some burried round somewhere

YESSS! My whole family (all 7 of us) would drive to Brisbane twice a year and everytime we stopped at BPs us kids would run out and ask for little Smurf figurines! I was really jealous of my sister who had Smurfette! :( I chose another one instead and then regretted my decision as soon as I got back in the car. Dickhead!

I remember him! Instead of Smurfette I think I chose the one holding the little gift wrapped present -- I think he was the gay one?

Go to that link to look at our short film we just made. It's crap but it turned out better than we thought it would! Comments / criticisms are welcome. It was such a big learning curve...the next one's going to kick arse!

LOVE the soundtrack - very appropriate.
Not a bad job for your first effort well done

Not sure being gay was okay back then.. hence he was called Vanity... and not Arse-loving Smurf

Thanks! The soundtrack sucks. At 12 midnight the night before it was due we still hadn't done it so we just recorded Leigh playing keyboards for 6 mins then cut it down to 3.37! Turned out okay -- better than being silent -- but I still wish we could have done a proper soundtrack.
