Samule wrote:sorry, just got home from a cousins funeral, same age as me, committed suicide last week.. The fourth person for me in 2 years.. One being her older brother, leaving a younger brother behind. How the fuck is he meant to cope, you think she would of learnt from the first one how hard it is to deal with, and then do it to the family all over again.. FUCKED UP!!!... sorry everyone... not a very good day for me.
There's obviously a history of depression in that family .. I hope the younger brother is gettng some counselling or something.Sydney, Australia - March 12, 1998; Sydney, Australia - February 14, 2003; Sydney, Australia - November 8, 2006; Sydney, Australia - November 25, 2006; Brisbane, Australia - November, 2009; Gold Coast, Australia - January, 2014, Gold Coast, Australia - November 20240 -
cheers zenith. Just the fact of seeing 1000 people packed into a church, saying goodbye to someone who was so bright, beautiful and meant the world to so many, and seeing my cousin who hadn't cried all week until i went over gripped his hand and said we all love you and stood in front of the coffin with him squeezing my hand off for about ten minutes .. it just made me realise how much so many people take for granted.0

Sorry to hear that man, it's such a was.
A friend of mine he's 26 and he's got cancer. that's fucked up, he's really on borrowed time now they said he only had a few months to live, and that was a few months ago. he is really hoping to make it to the queens birthday weekend cause he's a big car fan and he always goes down the coast for wintersun, so his dad got him an old coupe da ville to work on together and take down there.
i hope everyday that he can just hold on these next couple of weeks. it would mean the world to him, his girlfriend and family just to have that time down there.condescending and sarcastic since 19800 -

That would be awesome if he could make it down there. I've heard that with death people hang on until that one last thing they are looking forward to comes real. So hopefully that happens for him and his family.0 -
theres a couple of people i work with - one is an ex-boss; just the most beautiful, encouraging lady i have ever known. She got cancer, managed to beat it, then her daughter got killed in a car accident. They were one of those really close knit families; her daughters would ring her everyday to talk to her, and when she got killed the ambos actually brought her into our hospital. it was just horrific being there that day - like everything was in horrible slow motion or something, but you had to watch it.
Anyway, she went o/s for 12months, came back and has just finished building this beautiful new home. Her other daughter iwas about to get married. and the cancer comes back. I think its actually going to get her this time too - ive never seen anyone look so sick and still be determined to live, but i just dont think she will.
The other one has a a son with lukeimia - he's only 15 and has been battling it for almost two years. Had a bone marrow doner all lined up for next month; now he's in st vincents with phemonia and is battling to make it at all.
He's a fantastic kid - brilliant guitarist - he idolises slash (ive done my best to convert him to Pearl Jam, but...)
but what shits me off the most about stories like these are - both these ones are beautiful fantastic souls who want to live. And yet you have stupid, lazy, fat arsed bludgers popping out kids so they can get their plasma tv cheques and whinging about having to look for work, or having st vinnies pay all their bills so they can put it down the pokies.
The universe is a very fucked up, back to front thing imoimpatience is a gift ........0 -
On a much brighter note, the impossible music festival is on triple j from tomorrow and it kicks off with a set by the kings of leon at 6pm. it says it's recorded in 2006 so i'm gonna assume it could be from one of the PJ shows, but was it also the 2006 BDO they were here? so it could be that.
unfortunately there is no PJ in it this year but there are some other kick arse sets, i recommend the black keys on saturday at 7pm.
but here is the line up:
http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/livemusic/playlist.htm
Also nine msn has a video of the kings of leon live in london go here to check it out.
P.S you need to watch it though explorer so if you are using firefox, which everyone should be it won't work.condescending and sarcastic since 19800 -

Samule, so sorry to hear about your loss bud. Always remember when it gets you down, think about all the great times you had.... that always cheers me up when I think about my Pop and Aunt.
And Glenn, your mate will hang on.
My pop was 5 months from turning 80. Found out he had lung cancer. Not much they could do. He tried radiation as chemo woul dhave taken him quicker being so old. It was terrible, so hard on Nan, who was not too far from 80 herself, and of course the rest of us. Mum planned a big ole 80th for Pop. It was beautiful. He couldnt make it though, he just couldnt leave the house. He had a good day though, got to see us kids, I flew down to surprise him (thankfully). He died the day after his 80th birthday. He went so quick, so sadly, but at least he only had 5 months of pain instead of years. Luckily, again, for me to be there, 4 days later, My aunty who was healthy and young, died. We still dont know why, but i am thankful everyday that I flew down for Pop's birthday or I would have missed saying goodbye to both of them.
I miss them all the time, and posting this has brought tears to my eyes, but then I remember all the great times we had, and although im still crying, im smiling at the same time. I Loved them so much and would do anything to have another week with them both.
anyhow, my point, the good times. They are the best memories you could have.he who forgets will be destined to remember0 -

Hi all
Was reading the entertainment news on ninemsn (story about Scarlett...yum) when they mentioned the Miss Universe competition, and the Aussie, Kim Busteed, relating to the swimsuit competition. I love this journalism:
In Miss Universe news, Aussie contender Kimberley Busteed has once again dodged wearing a bikini during the preliminary swimsuit judgings.
While nearly all the other girls went as skimpy as possible, Busteed chose to cover up her midriff for the second day in a row.
What is she trying to hide? A big old butterfly tattoo? A freaky snail trail?
How awesome is that?!?!?!
Kop that Kimberly heheStars walk the red carpet because they're famous - I walk the toilet paper because im the shit.0 -
