you've only had her a few days. just wait it out for a month.... its important that they sort out their own pecking order in the "pack" and this can take a little while. dont worry... she wont hurt asher but she will let him know when she's had enough of him jumping on her.... but dont be too quick to take her back.
it can seem like at times that they are having a full on fight.... but its ok. they will sort it out... just dont get between them... and once they have established whos boss... you have to make sure you aknowedge that pecking order... higher dog in the pack eats first... goes through doorways first... and gets cuddles first... (but not before you of coarse!)

its really starting to get to me Meg.
She doesnt want to play with Asher and this is killing me because all he wants to do is play with her and want her to love him.
She just snarls at him randomly. They can walk together and sit close by but if he gets too close to her, say when she is sitting near me, she will get really nasty. I just want her to play.
If she is sitting down and Ash wants to play, he will start barking and howling at her and her lip starts up and the hair on her back. she will have a go at him if he gets too close.

I also think she is sick Megan. She is too skinny for my liking and she still hasnt eaten anything. Her Poo has been runny too.

What should I do...

she might be stressed with all the new change... have you got any rescue remedy? and what sort of food is she on now and what was she on at the breeders? big dogs have extremely sensitive digestive systems compared to littler breeds and it may be a sudden change in diet that is upsetting her... even just having treats that she might not be used to can upset her diet... and food scraps are a big no no....

i think her irritability towards Asher would be more because she is still unsure of her new surroundings and she is trying to get used to them as well as having a bouncing teenaged boy to deal with... plus if shes had a change in diet aswell, thats alot of change for an older dog to deal with in a short space of time....
puppies cope alot easier with transitions like this as everything is new for them.... but dogs that are already set in their ways can take a bit longer.

like i said, give her time. try the rescue remedy on her tounge to calm her down and help her cope. it should help her stress levels and help her to absorb some of the food and put on weight. dont worry about her with asher... she wont hurt him, and in time she will play with him. but she does need that time to adjust. right now she is just looking to you for reassurance in her new environment.

When I was given Milly it took a while for her to settle into new surroundings and to get use to new people and the noise that goes on in our house....
And she wouldnt eat much and was about 4 kilos seemed thin to me....
Now she eats well has put on a kilo and seems very very happy being with us...
Your puppy may be missing where she was and perhaps the other pups as well..
It takes time for them to adjust...Im sure they will be fine.....
