    THEY say lightning never strikes twice – but one Sydney family has proved the adage wrong after their house was hit for a third time during storms that put on an amazing light show across the city.

    The Nitscke family home at Malabar was struck almost 20 years to the day after a lighting strike caused a fire that destroyed a quarter of their home. A second strike in between killed their pet bird.

    yeah we're getting there.... most of our stuff is in boxes now, which is good cos i wont be able to do much after my surgery next week.

    but im SO excited to get back to the wet tropics and back to all my animals!

    i popped a hernia at the pearl jam shows.... so i have to have it fixed...

    its been pretty sore since the shows so i guess its better to just get it done now rather than wait for it to get worse... i dont particularly like the idea of being on the other side of the country from my mum when i get it done either.... there are just some things that require a mum hug from time to time.

    Hey Zig thanks heaps the tees.. arrived today and the dragon post lady didnt hold back on me....hehehe....YAY...
    I can now give my daughter her brown surfer tee back...she keeps asking where it is and I keep saying in the wash....hehehe.....Its really in my drawer...
    Love the black/navy blue not sure what colour it is, crossed surfboard tee...
    I would love to get that done as a tatt about the size of the sml sticker they had. But where would I get it and could I stand the pain...

    I want a red mosquito tattoo....a tiny one about half the size of a 5 cent piece....not sure where.

    But I probably won't get one because it will hurt!!! :o

    You're wrong actually. I have two pet birds and am always feeding the cockatoos, lorikeets, mynahs and magpies which visit my balcony. I just don't like things which keep me awake at night like cicadas, frogs and bats.
