All I know is that while Hartford sucked in and of itself, I'd love to go see Maya the cocktail waitress. That's still the hottest girl I've seen in the last 2 years. Like to grab her by those big hoop earrings....

Green tent and Yield flag last time might have to turn into Green tent with No Code flag this....

I want to put screamer behind a little wooden booth and charge people $1/min for the experience to talk to him. All proceeds benefit the beer fund offset drive.

You are amazing and officially my new hero! I wish I had the time and the means to do that.

I'm doing 2 Camdens and 2 MSG's. I am so tempted to do Mansfield the 30th. The last time I was at the last show of the tour was State College :)

I think it's the drive. I am taking the train up for MSG and have somewhere to stay. I would basically have to drive down to DC then come back. Tempting though.

I'll be wearing a Pearl Jam Avocado shirt and yelling "Play Even Flow!" all night, but in the end would settle for a Betterman sing-along.

Looking forward to actually being able to hang out this time and not be behind a table all day.

Enyone ever read this? thoughts? I think it's kinda funny

    http://www.eachnotesecure.com/the-concert-t-shirt-etiquette-guide/

    1. When wearing another bands t-shirt, try to keep the same genre or influence.
ex. a) David Bowie @ NIN
    ex. b) Placebo @ Futureheads

    2. The ironic concert t-shirt is the big exception. if you wear a Culture Club or Michael Bolton t-shirt to a Cure show you will get many compliments.

    3. There is a sliding scale of the obscurity of the band vs. the genre.
for example: A Tapes ‘n Tapes shirt could be worn to any rock show.

    4. When wearing a old concert t-shirt to a newer tour by the same band, it is prefered to wait at least eight years. too soon will show you to be lame, but to follow this guide will give you street cred as a long time fan.
~It should also be noted that a shirt purchased off EBay can break this rule, therefore a stain or hole of some sort is required. (YANP Matt)

    5. It is also a violation to wear any shirt of any band members former band or side project to the current incarnation of that band members show.

    6. It is a violation to wear the shirt you just bought at that same concert. Especially when it is over whatever you had on before.

    7. You may not wear a new concert t-shirt for 2 weeks (especially the next day)
~The exception to this is when you saw a show out of town and wear the shirt at home the next day.

    8. It is a violation to wear a concert t-shirt you purchased from the band at a second show on the same tour.

    9. No Beatles, Bob Marley or Jimi Hendrix t-shirts, unless you actually went to one of their concerts.

    10. It is a violation to wear a concert t-shirt that has been signed by any member of the band.

I think there should be a rule 11. It is never acceptable under any circumstances to wear an airbrushed "Nelson - After the Rain" t shirt at any time to a Pearl Jam concert.

There was this guy in line about 15 people behind me at the Vic who was wearing that shirt. I really hope the reason he was wearing that shirt was because he lost some kind of bet and not because he actually thought it was an appropriate shirt to wear to a PJ concert. ;)

Well, you know how white people just looooooove irony. As the second-to-last paragraph states, anything popular 10+ years ago is acceptable fodder for irony, which other white people will laugh at. So, the Nelson shirt definitely applies! Read on...

    "Stuff White People Like"

    #50 Irony
    February 3, 2008 by clander

White people hate a lot of stuff (white people who vote republican, television, Vin Diesel movies, SUVs, fast food) but every once in a while they turn that hate into sweet irony.

Often times, white people will make a joke about how hard it is to define irony. It’s not that funny, and back in the 1990s people got all upset at Alanis Morrisette for using the term improperly in her song “Isn’t it Ironic?”

But the reason that white people love irony is that it lets them have some fun and feel better about themselves.

The most horrific recent example is Trucker hats, that shockingly went from mainstream in the 80s to Ironic in the early 2000s back to mainstream, at which point they are no longer rare or unique. Once something reaches this stage, irony cannot be restored for 10 years.

Other examples would include white people getting together to have a ‘white trash’ night where they would eat Kentucky Fried Chicken, drink Bud Light and watch Larry the Cable Guy or The Marine. Maybe listen to Kid Rock or P.O.D. These events allow white people to experience things they are supposed to hate, all while feeling better about their own lives, decisions, and cultured tastes.

Occassionally, white people will put an ironic knick knack in their home or apartment such as a “Support our Troops” magnet or a bottle of Mickey’s.

This can be used to your advantage. If you need to appear cool to white people, you just need to pick something that was popular 10+ years ago and put it in a prominent place at your desk or in your home. A C+C Music Factory Cassette, or a “2 Legit 2 Quit” t-shirt would both be acceptable examples.

Also, you might find yourself in conversation where you mention that you like something and there is an awkward silence indicating that it is not cool. In this situation, uou must say “oh yeah, I also like [insert similar things]” and smile, the white people will laugh and all will be well.

Most likely either Saturday or next Saturday the 12th... my guess would be the 12th since REM tickets go on sale this saturday.
