    "Stuff White People Like"

    #63 Expensive Sandwiches
    February 11, 2008 by clander

Having already covered breakfast and dinner options, the question remains: what do white people like to do for lunch? The answer: expensive sandwiches.

In most cities, if you need to find a cache of white people get yourself to a sandwich shop. Generally these places aren’t open for dinner, have a panini press and are famous for their bread. There are always vegan options and the selection of meats and cheese are strongly European.

The waiters and waitresses in these places are highly coveted by the white population. They are not quite as cool as bartenders, not quite as snobby as coffee shop workers, but still artsy, young, and more than likely to be a musician/artist/writer (since they only have to work from 11-3).

If you are in the position where you need to take a white person to lunch for business or pleasure, saying “I know a great sandwich shop,” will always bring out a smile. The white person will then tell you about the great sandwich shop in the town where they went to college and how they had a crush on a waiter, or that there was some special sandwich that they always ordered. This will put the person in a good mood.

It’s important to note that this type of restaurant is best for business or friendship situations as it is very neutral and does not carry connotations like Sushi or Breakfast.

These sandwiches generally start at $8.99. Remember that whenever a white person says they wants to go to a sandwich shop you are looking at at least a $15 outlay after tip and drink, $20 if the place has a good selection of microbrews.

Also note: white people will wait up to 40 minutes for a good sandwich.

    hi fanch.

Tweeter is nice, I dig it. Wachovia's better though.

Good to see you. The Camden show is during the week and PTO is limited, so I won't be making it up, but it's nice to "see" some familiar faces here. :)

So $150 for Fla tickets... figure Camden will be about that or $160 with MSG being the same if not more.... guess you gotta start selling cheese sandwiches in the parking lot to follow this band on tour :D

As of now, I'm definitely planning on DC, Camden and Hartford. I may hit up the MSG shows- waiting to see if I have someone to go with to them.

have fun... PJ shows in Camden are always worth the extra hassle, although I agree that a Philly show would have been alot better.

You can do that! You can sell sandwiches to white people for at least $8.99, maybe up to $15 (ref: post #62 in this thread). Chrom, you could fund your entire tour in about 20 minutes by selling sandwiches to fans in the parking lot.

As long as the server allows....Camden, DC, 2 MSG (dontcrashdontcrash)
got a car...got some gas...oh let's get out of here-get out of here fast...
I hope you get this message but your not home...I will be there in just a minute or so...
I want to go but I want to go with you.

I was thinking some toasted whole wheat with gouda or feta cheese maybe some dijon mustard... possibly some parsley or thyme as a garnish... think that would work??? ;)

Now you're thinking. Make up some herb name and tell them you got in while backpacking in Europe (in your ancestor's country), and that you can't get it here. The white people you sell it to will be impressed and will feel like they are culturally advanced eating this mysterious & elusive herb. You could probably add another $2 to the price on this alone! Maybe even $3 if you can convince them that it's organic.

In high school because I had taken a ton of AP classes, I only had 4 classes my senior year. I got out of high school every day at 11:20 and my best friend worked at a sandwich shop while in high school. So after class I'd drive to his sandwich shop, pick up up a bunch of hoagies he had made the night before and me and him would sell them to kids in my high school for lunch. We'd mark up the price so we'd make a profit and wound up buying Phillies season tickets that year doing that.

So if you need someone with experience, Chrom, I can help. ;)

That was surprisingly painless. It was the first time I got tickets here and I was expecting some glitches. I can't wait for the show!

Can we push it to 6:45? Just to make sure we've got the maximum crowd, with folks having to work Thursday, you know? I'm trying to knock off an hour early to get there by 5:30.

Limited edition. With a $200 coloring book of posters. Because white people like that stuff (and expensive sandwiches, of course).
