Who's going to cooperate? Audiotape alone would never secure a conviction and if the LAPD is as corrupt as most people suspect, there's no way that an internal investigation will lead to anything meaningful. I would guess that for most of the LAPD, Dorner's death is simply 'business as usual'. Nothing's going to change when you have such a strong wall of silence.0 -

That is how officials deal with heavily armed suspects in barricade situations. The S.L.A. (Patty Hearst crew), the Branch Davidians in Waco, TX. and Christopher Dorner in Big Bear.
Fires are set, typically by tear gas cannisters. The fire grows because the occupant has no fire suppression systems available. They either come out and surrender... or put a bullet in their heads.
There is nothing you can do after that. The unspent ammunition starts to go off and it becomes too dangerous for firefighters to go in and risk getting hit by the exploding rounds. The place is burned to the ground.
Responsibility also has to fall upon the participants in the structure. They help to create the hostile and dangerous situation be firing on the officers.
I understand your hatred and paranoia of law enforcement, but, there are ways to avoind violent confrontations with them... namely, comply with their orders and definately, do not open fire on them. The S.L.A., Branch Davidians and Christopher Dorner made the conscientious decisions to pull the triggers. I believe there are consequences for your actions... which is why I never open fire on armed officers.Allen Fieldhouse, home of the 2008 NCAA men's Basketball Champions! Go Jayhawks!

Well said Cosmo. Dorner had plenty of chances to surrender. And possibly extreme measures are necessary when pursuing a man who murdered several people.Pick up my debut novel here on amazon: Jonny Bails Floatin (in paperback) (also available on Kindle for $2.99)0 -

What about the women in the truck? Maybe they didn't comply with their orders, so the cops shot them.
Waco and Ruby Ridge was nothing more than murder. So was this.0 -

Hey... i'm just sayin'... that's the fate you are going to achieve if you decide to take on the authorities.
If you are going to sneak up on someone in a parking lot and murder them... then barricade yourself is a structure with your weapons that you swear you will not relinquish... and you open fire on the increasing army of uniformed officers that surround your hideout...
They are going to toss tear gas into your building... and if you do not have fire extinguishers... they will let the fire burn and they will not let the fire fighters near it until all of the rounds that were in your possession get popped.
It's all big talk about cold dead hands and stuff... but in the end... that will be your self-fulfilling prophecy... uniformed officers prying your gun from your cold dead hand because you decided to open fire on them.
The only way you will possibly hold them off would be if you have a nuclear device to threaten them with... and if you have a nuclear device hidden under your pillow... well, you are crazy as fuck and it's the best thing for the rest of us that they kill your crazy nuclear device owning ass and pry it from your crazy ass cold dead hand.

P.S. The Branch Davidians had over a month to surrender and face legal trials. They made the decision to stay and set up fire blockades to trap incoming officers and agents. Their plan backfired when they trapped themselves.
The same thing with Dorner... he could have surrendered and had his day in court and place all of his grievences with his former L.A.P.D. employer on the public record. He chose poorly.Allen Fieldhouse, home of the 2008 NCAA men's Basketball Champions! Go Jayhawks!

Actually there were reports that Dorner tried to get out the back of the cabin but was pushed back inside. So yeah, it's murder.0 -

In the early part of Waco... i remember news reporters claiming the Branch Davidians were using children as human shields (not true)... that there were children firing weapons (not true)... that the agents tossed hand grenades to knock down walls (not true, they were flash-bang diversion grenades). That is why I do not take early accounts, as events are unfolding, at face value. Not everything I see on television (or on the Internet) is truth.
Just like with Waco... let the facts play out.Allen Fieldhouse, home of the 2008 NCAA men's Basketball Champions! Go Jayhawks!
