    Totally with you. What happened to requiring people to put in some effort or at least deal with some inconvenience? I remember waiting on the phone for hours on end, hitting F5 on the computer, sitting outside a retail outlet and waiting for it to open.I waited 13 hours in line for U2 tickets in Ireland once. Time of my life. I had to work at it, or at least go out of my way, but I always got tickets. Now any jackass can get lucky with the lottery and put the tickets up on eBay or StubHub. It's a scam. 10c should exist to combat this kind of crap, but they aren't getting the number of tickets they need.
    This is all horseshit. Socialist "everyone deserves a fair chance" horseshit.

    I didn't try for tickets today but wanted to remind people that in the "old days," we used to have to sleep out for tickets and then, once you got up to the ticket counter, they could be sold out. Just saying that at least you get shut out of the ticketing process in the comfort of your living room.

    This is true, but we also didn't have indoor plumbing back in the day. The problem is that there are better alternatives out there. I think this process stinks, but I also realize that I can stop waiting to get in whenever I want. At least I was able to git tickets to PJ20.

    Were/are any tickets available in Chicago if people wanted to physically queue for them? Hopefully Chicago fans could try to get tickets in the flesh. When the World Series was in Denver, they had NO physical PoS locations in the city, all sales were web-based, so most of the local fans got totally screwed.

    I'm at that point too. Glad I booked a refundable hotel room. trip to chicago is off...

    at this point it doesn't even seem like the waiting room is doing anything when the 30 seconds is up...

    What bugs me, is that you know all the "ticket brokers" aka douchebags have some kind of work around for this system and scooped up the majority of the good seats anyway...

    Pearl Jam should take this as a sign that demand for shows in the US has pent up to a climax and they need to conduct a real fucking tour, with lots of dates, so everyone has access... not use a "random" system that susposedly gives a fair chance for all...

    anyway... off to enjoy my coffee and book....

    Everyone with their "how it used to be" stories can just stop. Just because it used to be tougher doesn't mean that the inconvenience is okay now. And it's a huge inconvenience. I was in the waiting room at 10:30 EST - in 6 different browsers nonetheless - and have NOT once even had an opportunity to buy. It's 12:00 noon now. That's a combined 9 hours in the virtual waiting room between the 6 browsers. This is complete bullshit.

    Yeah, it kicked me out when I had some really good field seats (stalled on the credit card), but then after a hissy fit, I woke up my girlfriend (who has amazing ticket luck), and she got us in 3 times, and we bought 3 sets of tickets. Not as good. Section 209, 211 and 525. But hey, I GOT TICKETS!
