You can't be serious. If every fan was to get tickets to every show PJ couldn't play anywhere...with well over 450k in the club how can you expect this? What a self-righteous, douche bag. Your sense of entitlement is what everyone on the forums is complaining about. There never were guarantees in scoring club tickets, ever, for any show, anywhere. This lottery is by the luck of the draw. Deal with it. And if you're so desperate for Wrigley tickets, there are plenty of club tix being offered up. Maybe I'll see you in the pit. I scored GA, but even if I didn't get a ticket it would be whatever.

    AMEN
Any new realizations... would have to wait...
Til he had more time,... more time...
Time to dream,... to himself... he waves goodbye,
To himself... I'll see you on the other side...

Actually that is not entirely true. See they didn't do a good job of explaining the "tier" system as literally thousands of us did not understand that if you put "X" as your #1 choice that you would not get put into the drawing for your #2 choice until everyone who listed that as their #1 choice got tickets. In otherwords, had I understood things clearly up front (I only do now thanks to Speedy after the fact) I would never in a million years listed GAFloor as my #1 choice, I would absolutely have listed lower bowl as #1 (FYI, every single solitary person who listed lower bowl as #1 got tickets meanwhile the overwhelming majority of people who listed GA as #1 did not get any tickets, and there were that many listed because that many didn't understand, few who understood still put it as #1..... that isn't a lottery, that is a screw job)

I had GA Pit as choice #1 and lower bowl as choice #2 and got tix in the lower bowl. I guess I was just lucky?

I am deeply frustrated in not being drawn for the Wriggly Field Chicago Show '13. I am a member of the 10club so that I may enjoy the security and ease of accessing Pearl Jam concert tickets, and not be forced into the uncertainty of accessing tickets through the sale to the general public. This is a socialist act of treason against the very fans who love and support the band! Annually paying 10club dues should give me the right of accessing tickets to every show before tickets are released for sale to the general public. In a nation of freedom and opportunity, non-members have the freedom and opportunity to become members and enjoy the rights that should be given to loyal members. Instead, the current ticketing policy allows only a select few (randomly chosen) the security of aquiring their tickets pre-sale. I admit I am not a long standing member, but even more troubling of the policy is the thought of a person who has been a member since the 10club's origination, yet has not been randomly chosen for this show!

I am torn between the utter disgrace of this policy, and my love for the band. I never thought that my love for the band would ever be tainted by an issue beyond the actual music, but as sad as it may be I am reconsidering my membership. I hope many more are as well! Those who have the power to implement and change this policy should give 10club members the respect derserved in reviewing it. As it stands, I will wait in line with the general public with my 10club patch and inform those who are willing to listen of this disgraceful policy. They will know that this is the only fan club that I have been a member that will not guarantee me this security, and the watered-down member benefits that I questionably enjoy.

I still think the lottery system is mostly good. There's only one real tweak I'd like to see:

One lottery per show. Have a button to opt in for the GA lottery draw. It'll help cut down on the strategy of trying for both lotteries for one show, or trying to squeeze your way in ahead by splitting them for two different shows.

Due to no senoirity in the PIT you've got all sorts of people signing up extra memberships to take a stab at the pit tickets (then can try and swap 'em with other members for other shows). I think keeping it a secret would cut down on that too.

Edit: It would also be awesome if they do two leg tours than they don't treat both legs like separate tours. By breaking it up they gave everyone two first draft picks. Which is awesome for people that travel and more difficult for people only going to the closest show.

I agree that they could make a couple simple changes to the lottery to make it a little more fair for everyone involved. The whole GA thing, and how people have been acting the last couple of years, towards those GA seats, is fucking disgusting.

I think GA is ok.... I'm good with it. It would be different if seniority was gained and people slowly got closer every tour, but that wasn't happening. I seemed to get seated further back every time the 10c came up with a new idea. Multiple Shows, sit 5 rows further back. Rows 1-2, 9-10 lotteries, sit 4 rows further back :) That kind of stuff. I think the GA show in Vancouver was the closest I'd been to the front since the GA floor stuff in '98. I wasn't on the rail but I was still pretty close (and didn't wait around all day). Got their for doors at 6:30 and started about 5 rows in front of ED (just to the right of center) and drifted up to about 3 rows. It was awesome. I've been in the club since '98 so that's a lot of years. I was never going to get that close without GA.
