It is time to get the 10c to talk about boots for this tour. I would love to have them and I know I am not alone. The quality of the boots is great. I am pretty sure, it is a worthwhile investment financially for the band.

Come on 10c Let's make it happen!!!

I have a bad feeling that there will no longer be official bootlegs. After the vault thing kind of fell apart and they stopped selling the 2005 and 2006 shows and since there were no boots last year. I don't know why, but I just have a feeling they are done with that.

Hope I am wrong though. The offical boot program is one of favorite things about PJ.

with the threat of there being no boots at all, kinda makes all that bitching about what format we get them in pretty ridiculous

No official boots bodes well for them trying out new music on us, doesn't it?

Yes that was a very cool feature of PJ. Seems like a no brainer to me but what do I know ha ha

did you guys listen to that interview with stone, the 'integral life' one? it was posted on pj.com last year. anyway, the issue of bootlegs came up, and i THINK stone implied that the band are still researching the best way to make bootlegs available, so i think there may be bootlegs in the future; whether this applies to this tour we'll have to wait and see.

I would hate to miss out on boots for this tour. It's been great to relive experiences from 2000, 03, and 06. Maybe they can just revive the Vault system. I seem to recall that it worked fairly well in 05 and 06, despite the lack of physical discs.

It'd be kinda cool if the 10c did something like this:

DMB Teams up with Ticketmaster.com to Provide Free Digital Album

"Fans who purchase their DMB summer tour tickets through Ticketmaster.com this tour season will receive a special bonus: an exclusive, free digital album comprised of highlights from the 40-city tour! Fans will receive a unique code in mid September to redeem the digital album. The codes will be issued via email after the tour wraps up and the digital album is available on iTunes. One code will be issued per ticket sold through Ticketmaster.com only."

Give all 10c members access to this or something along those lines

No offense meant, but 10c is so far past that. Every show for 2 world tours was made available. I mean, how can we accept anything less?

Hard to turn down something free though. Personally, i'm not going to buy every boot out there after they make them available. It'd be kinda cool to get a highlights album in addition to the ones they already make available.

Agreed. Funny thing is, no matter what they produce, we will buy it or listen to it. Unless it is tickets in the southern half of the country. (I couldn't resist!!)

I would love for them to do DVD boots, but that is a stretch.

I'll settle for any method, they can relase them all themselves like 2000 and 2003 for all I care. Just put them back out there.

I agree, the Boots are great, but the vault thing did fall apart, didn't they only release 2 shows from that? Well looks like it's back to the audience recordings but in a way that's one thing I have always admired pearl jam for as I am a fan of boots and live shows. It's nice to know they are one of the taper friendly bands like the Greatful dead, the counting crows, the black crowes ect. I do wish they were allowing audience recordings for Ed solo shows but oh well. I wish they would have followed the who and done the cd/dvd combo packages that they did for their 06-07 shows. I thought pj was going to do that for their 07 Run after the "Bootleg changes in the future message from last year." That's the only reason I think they may still have some new idea up their sleeve and not go back to audience recordings completely.

You know, I forgot about that message from last year. They did say to stay tuned for the future of the bootleg program - and then nothing.

Wouldn't the best way to go about it be what moe and the Pixies did? They were able to provide a CD of the show you just say right after the show at the merch booth. However, I do think there may be some kind of Live Nation ban on that.

I think if I remember correctly, alot of venues had contracts with various bands utilizing the "instant live" recording technology. "I think "Instant live" was an operation staged by live nation (I could be wrong on that though, but then again live nation promotes alot of the bands that used instant live). There is another company out of Dallas called disc live that does the same thing. (Disc live did the Toadies Dallas show last Spring). So that's how I found out about them. I could see pj doing this, but honestly, I think it's just easier to dowload the shows off a program from the website like we did with base camp. I just hope they let us know what they have planned soon, regardless, at least we still have the audience recordings, and I actually really am impressed by th sound on some of those too.

I don't care how they sell them as long as they do it. Those boots from the 2003 tour made me a diehard fan and the lack of bootlegs last year was kinda depressing since we had some really incredible shows in europe. Come on PJ, make it happen again!
