SiriusXM Pearl Jam Radio celebrates the 15th Anniversary of Yield this weekend with The Faithfull Forum - a special in depth, fan-involved program. We'll be opening up the phone lines for your participation and recollections on this classic album along with live tracks, b-sides and other goodies related to Yield.
Tune in Saturday Feb. 2nd at 4pm EST/1pm PST for this live special.

    awesome Robb. If it wasn't for this band and this album in particular that came out that winter Feb 3, 1998 day, I wouldn't have all that I have and would have never met my wife. I yield to my love for YIELD!!

    awesome Robb. If it wasn't for this band and this album in particular that came out that winter Feb 3, 1998 day, I wouldn't have all that I have and would have never met my wife. I yield to my love for YIELD!!

    Has it really been 15 years! :o

    Yield was the first PJ album I was super excited to be released. I was 14 years old in 1998 soaking up the remnants of the ocean of music that was the Seattle scene since there was really nothing else new worthwhile to listen to (Generalizing) and Yield was rare new material out of that to be excited for.
    I remember jumping up and down in my living room the first time "Do the Evolution" came on TV instead of http://www.mtv.com/videos/nsync/102365/i-want-you-back.jhtml#id=1535964 I also vividly remember the first time they played Wishlist on 102.7 in upstate NY. That was also the year I first joined the 10 Club before I let it lapse a decade

    P.S. Sad that the first Pearl Jam video in 6 years? done by Todd MacFarland didn't get mentioned in that link to the MTV 1998 Yearbook.

    thanks Rob.. any update on Ed continuing the Wed show thing like he did a couple months back or is that just ending up as a 1x thing?

    Yield to me is one of those albums that is better and better the more times you listen to it...

    Favorite album... was a formative time for me on may levels. I have great memories of the LONG drive home from college then, driving roads that looked like they could be in the album art, listening to this album

    Yield was pretty much the last record here that was advertised SO GOOD @ the stores!!! Here @ HMV on Barrington Street in Halifax, they were giving away free Pearl Jam Yield Radio Promo CD's when you bought a copy of Yeild on CD or Vinyl. They wouldn't give it to you if you only bought the cassette tape copy. They had a cool poster of the band on the porch. The huge Yield signs I still have tacked on my bedroom wall. HMV employees wearing Pearl Jam Yield tags (thanks to the dudette who gave me her badge @ the end of the day). And for Much Music for starting a contest to see Pearl Jam Live In Phoenix. I took over 50 of those post cards. Filled them out & sent them away. But no luck. Months later I see this on their station!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkMDi1W_wb8 . The record pretty much kept me calm when I was in Saint Mary's University. I would play it ALOT when I was DJ'ing @ the CFSM radio station on campus.

    The first commercial I had seen / taped on Much for the record was this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QON4E0UpYTk . The other one .. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzjOXidORYg .. came later.
