Benchmark $1000.00+ for mint/sealed.
The handful that were sold at the poster convention didn't change a thing.
Good luck!
I think it did, the last four sealed have sold for $800.
We'll see - the few that were sold were numbered (so I assume part of the original 2000) so it's not like the market is now flooded with a ton of new copies.
I think the fact that there were 5 on the auction site at once was part knee jerk reaction from worried owners trying to cash in, one or two flippers, and part people needing Xmas funds.... I can't remember ever seeing that many copies at once.
I give it a few months and they'll dry up again.
But, who knows.....

Are you referring to me? If so, no, I am not worried about the value of my lp's. Mine are opened, have been played a few times and I wouldnt sell my used copy for under $800.
2 months ago used copies were selling in the $1000-$1200 range.

Once they end up into secure hands and stop appearing on ebay, the prices will go back up. There's a big difference when there's 5 auctions at the same, and when it dwindles to an auction once and a while.
No Greatplainsman, if you were talking to me I'm not worried about mine at all. I paid fair market value at the time, and if they weren't so damned expensive I'd probably loan it to a bunch of people to listen to.
I thought we were talking about the price of the set, not your set or my set.....
My opinion is that these will not only maintain a high value, but increase in years to come. But that's just my humble opinion.....
The OP asked an open question and I threw in my 2 cents - that's all.
Never fun to see a fellow fan unintentionally sell something for way less than it's worth due to lack of info or knowledge.
He can take all of our input and decide what's best for him.
Cheers!
I am realizing more now of the significance of this piece.
This seems to be more of something I might hang onto and hand down to my little ones.
thanks
Oh, And if someone just paid $1500, it must have been off the grid. No documented comparables even come close to that in the last 2 months.
Peace
Best thing I've read in this thread.
 nice choice!!

That would of been the time to do it. Had all those flippers selling their copies on ebay from the 10c sale. It temporarily spiked the supply (not over all supply, but freely roaming copies).
If one was going to shell out an arm and leg for it.. then (or right now I suppose) would the time. Once the dust settles and the newly distributied copies find more permanent homes, the auctions will reduce on ebay, and the prices will march upwards again :(
I'm lucky as to have bought one from 10c way back in the day, but I was so broke in university that I came close to selling it a few times (and the going ebay rate back then was about 400). Somehow I managed to make ends meet and didn't to sell it. I'm glad I didn't. I don't know what my price would be. 1500 still isn't enough
