this would be nice.......last thing i wanna worry of in Chicagoajb0

Fine if they want to make it "part of the experience." But how about bringing back the wristbands so you could claim your poster after the show? They did that in 2006 or 2008, and it worked really well I thought.0

My worst experience with posters were the gorge shows.
Gorge '05 bought a poster. It got squished by a rowdy fan (at least now they sell poster tubes instead of telling you to drop it at the gate)... there's some creases in it now, but at least I got it.
Gorge '06. It was soooo hot. the doors opened fairly early. We got there at doors... first booth sold out right away.. felt like an idiot running down the merch booth at the bottom of the hill. got a poster. Then because we got there so friggin early, and it was so hot, I was pretty burned out by the time the band hit the state. There is really no shade at the gorge.. it was brutal.
Best Concert Poster Exerpiences:
1) Missoula 98 - My first poster. They had an outdoor merch booth. Bought a post and a shirt, went back, tossed them in the trunk of the car, then went into the venue. Had GA tickets and did't have to carry anything around to me.
2) Calgary '09 - Presale. Ordered via the internet. Poster showed up a few weeks afterward. The whole show was GA. Had it been holding onto a poster in that mess, it would of been crushed.
3) Vancouver '11 - Outside Merch Booth. Butt ugly poster that I'll probably never frame, but I was able to get one and toss it in the car before entering the venue.
I guess my conclusion is if they don't want to do presales, then at least to more of the outdoor merch booths? I love those things.0 -

I liked that idea back in '08. One poster per wrist band / fan. You couldn't purchase more then 2 though in Mansfield Night 2 I did remember seeing one dude carry 6 prints while I was waiting in line to get my one. Only thing that sucked was waiting after an intense show in a long busy line.0 -

I agree. If they don't give you the chance to preorder it just have an outdoor booth where you can pick it up and toss it in the car. Then the rest of the day is nothing but enjoyment."Mine is mine and yours won't take its place.."

At the very least, I think they should offer it to you if you won the lottery for the tix. This way they can feel good about selling tickets to people that are going to the show and not someone who isn't even going to the event.
I'll be flying into Chicago and visiting the town and such. The last thing I want to do is carry around a poster. And if it rains? Uggggghhhhhhhh92 - Orlando

Bump, if for no other reason than the band to sell more posters. There has to be a decent margin on those things. I really want to get show posters and tentatively plan on doing so, but given the choice between waiting in line or getting a better spot for the show, it's a no-brainer. If the posters then are not sold here in Goods or listed affordably elsewhere online, I'll just pass and keep my memories up here @Fist2TheJaw on Twitter https://twitter.com/fist2thejaw

I am ALL for poster pre-sales. I love itFormerly Brew Crew Tix

I loved the wristband system — they used it when I saw them in 2008. I agree, they definitely should bring this back.0 -

Especially if it rains @ Wrigley. I'm sure they will have plenty of posters to go around. If not then just jump the one carrying more then 2+ that leaves the merchandise table when the clerk say's "all out of posters". :twisted:0 -
I support the idea, although I suspect our efforts are futile.0

Yes. This is one of the best friggin things they ever did.
I have also heard the whole "maintain the experience" arguement...but trust me, I have had just about enough of "the experience" that goes along with poster lines at a PJ show.
I will glady pay extra to have my ONE poster show up safe and sound at the end of the tour."Like a cloud dropping rain...I'm discarding all thought"0 -
