Ive never been to either, but again, like the Gorge, the draw is the drawback as well. Its so far out of the way. Its frustrating because thats the great thing about huge bands. They play major cities, at huge venues. With PJ at least in the northwest, they;ve long had problems finding a place to play, and thats why they resort to playing The Gorge, or Clark County. Im not denying the beauty of such venues, its just sort of silly.

u2 played Safeco field a few years back. There are so many basketball arenas/college and pro football/baseball stadiums around the northwest, its mindboggling to me they couldnt play any of those.

Eugene has Mat Knight Arena, that seats maybe 12,000. As I said, theres the Rose Garden, the Memorial Colesium. Gill Colesium.

U2 played Quest Field, which is now The Clink (Century Link Field).

Safeco has only let the Beach Boys hold a concert there (in 2008). Guess they figured all those fans wouldn't ruin the field with their walkers and canes. Too bad since the stadium holds close to 50k people.

The Key Arena and Kent Station Arena suck balls for concerts. All the arenas in the area are actually pretty small, most hold only 6,000-8,000 people.

PJ should play the Clink...the stadium was built with acoustics in mind.
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.
