unless i'm mistaken, I think you have the shootings mixed up. I thought this thread was about the TX college shooting. Easy to get mixed up lately though with so many shootings in the news..

    Shit! Wrong shooting thread.

There are so many recent mass shootings it's hard to keep track of them properly. I need one of those QB wrist pads with all the recent shootings called out so I don't make the same mistake again.

and what is it with this line of thinking that i keep seeing all over the place?

"MY guns didn't kill anyone last night.."

that is like taking credit for doing something you are SUPPOSED to do, or not doing something you are NOT supposed to do.

    same as saying:

"MY kid didn't kill anyone in driver's ed yesterday."

"I did not drink and drive last night."

"I paid my child support last month."

"I did not cheat on my wife last night."

    "I went to work yesterday."

"I didn't hit my wife or kids last night."

why are we proudly celebrating doing something we are supposed to do, or not doing something we are not supposed to do? it makes no sense to me...

yeah me too. i completely agree!

i wish elbows were illegal in mma. it seems like a cheep way to win a fight to me, kinda like the old days where you could put fingers in cuts and kick people in the nuts, but that is for another thread altogether :lol:

    Gah.

The one you posted though...oh man. The particulars are absolutely heartbreaking and stomach-turning.

Apparently out here today, someone at a high school was overhead saying "it's loaded" and the school was put on lockdown.

Dude could've been talking about anything - sad sign of the times.

Then again, those people you have a problem with don't seem to have any problems with finding a gun.

my take on our gun epidemic:

i think they are just mad there's still a black man in the White House.
and just WHO is trying to take their guns?
just as like during the months of his first term, i'm afraid he'll be assassinated and i'm starting to worry about that again.

things change with time. the laws and amendments must change with the current times.

Our only gun problem is that we do not have enough guns!

i am worried about that too. there are some crazy, angry people out there who want this man out of office.

i have enough faith in the secret service though.

except why have they not visited ted nugent again? he is talking sedition and revolution again.. :fp:

the conservatives are always talking about how "we gotta keep the guns out of the hands of the crazies" when nugent is fucking exhibit number 1...

I just don't get the logic here, as I haven't seen much evidence of this particular view.

    Could you please elaborate?

    is

    nuts.

A medley of fools. No doubt, many good men have debated one or more of these fools on-line: never really knowing the full extent of their moronity.

Well SAID! Guns sales have increased very mucho.
Remember Thirty bills ... you are surrounded by Hippies....

I bought a water gun . But, it's not to say any house in my Zipcode doesn't have a gun, they do.
I am okay with this (I own a NRA trucker hat), It's insane not to have home defense. That AMC show Zombie....,

I have had to rely on my small self at times, (no gun, would have been easier), before the police could arrest the ratfucks.

Next topic, A life Alert sales increase... I should buy stock now...

Put it in the pipe and smoke, before trashing me ... u others....

so we're talking about a dozen...or at the most two dozen people out of a population of 315,000,000 who commit these terrible crimes that grab the medias attention?
I'll ride the wave where it takes me......
  • For every story you post on shootings I can repost another one showing gun defense! Its a tit for tat from here on out! If you continue to post these shootings then Ill have to post all the defenses and the whole moving traing will be loaded with gun talk! Is that what we want?

I would be interested in reading stories about responsible gun owners using their legally acquired assault rifles in self defense. Those stories must be out there somewhere right?

    no you can't.

there are more shootings than stopped shootings. please do not make such an unreasonable claim.

No, I think we're talking about all gun violence and if it correlates to the sheer amount of guns and how easy they are to obtain...and if it is a cause for alarm.

But if you're talking about the media, I'd also like to throw it out there that I see incidences regarding the accidental shootings of kids, toddlers, and teenagers all too often on my local news, such as palmbeachpost.com.
