5 people injured at 3 different gun shows over the weekend, too.

Let's just keep doing what we're doing, though.

I read about a father that shot his son in the face with a rifle while hunting deer.

So far it sounds like no one died, so that's good. Also they're making it sound less psychotic rampagey, more altercationy, for whatever that's worth. Somehow that seems less horrifying. Obviously with stories like these, initial reports must be taken with a large grain of salt.

Humans can’t handle guns, the positional power to which we haven’t evolved. Amazing when I watch a human get an emotional blast when they talk about their guns and simply go nuts when you watch them shoot.
Read daily stories of kids getting guns and shooting themselves or taking them to school. The proliferation of guns is what’s causing this mess. Now evolution may come to humans rescue by eliminating the “scared of life” gene.

But the law doesn't allow guns on a college campus. It also doesn't allow for someone to try and kill someone else. You mean to tell me that the laws didn't stop him? He did it anyway?

    Yeah.

(although I'd tack on "a fucked up" people problem along with the other issues)

*edit to callen - how many people have you actually seen get a hardon over their weaponry or while using them?

It's entirely possible I'm way out of the loop, and if so...well, so be it. But the folks I know who own guns are pretty reasonable...jizz-free, so to speak (at least gunwise).

I'm more concerned with the idiots who not only have the desire to do damage, but the access to the means to do so.

I feel sorry for the gentlemen involved in the shooting. Their lives are going to change quite a bit now. If only guns were illegal. These poor bastards argument would have only escalated into a fist fight. I tell ya. I wish that the government would just rescue us from ourselves.

Yep. I know several people who seem to take great pride in their guns and often brag about them. I feel sorry for those people....and I also have a bit of fear of them and what they might do.

If you have to take pride and comfort that you have the ability to kill someone easily and at any time, then I think you might be just a little sick in the head.

Guns are just toys to far too many people.
