  • I love how the targets are shaped as humans. I guess if you're training to shoot one, you should practice on such a construction.

Aren't these the same people who cited violent video games as a cause to these shootings? I mean what then does this say about them as an organisation?

It means they have been snorting too much gunpowder.

On another note, how is this different than any other video game out there which includes guns? :corn:

But weren't you also one of the people towing the NRA line of mental illness, mindless violence in Hollywood and video games, among st other things.

What does this say about yourself so?

But that's exactly my point though.

They're running any credibility they ever had. Yes, they had credibility once. Here's an article that talks about the NRA being in favor of gun control at one time in their history.

    http://www.salon.com/2013/01/14/the_nra ... n_control/

But they've lost all credibility. Bye, bye NRA.

I was just thinking about how low the NRA is going...

There is an NRA video that injects Obama's daughters into the debate... “Are the president’s kids more important than yours?” the video asks. “Then why is he skeptical about putting armed security in our schools when his kids are protected by armed guards at their school?”

    How pathetic.

Makes me wonder if Obama's girls hear about this kind of thing and get scared at all. I cant believe the NRA would use them like that to try to prove a point. A terrible point too. :?

Can you see how this could be seen as offensive to those who have lost loved ones? (on the part of the NRA that is)

Also can you see how this is completley hypocritical given the point they pushed at the press conference?

To me it seems insensitive at best, at worst - a horrible attempt to stay relevant in the media.

You do absolutely nothing in the game a legal and responsible gun owner can't do with their gun. The game expresses no violence what so ever.

But do you not see that what you are saying is completely subjective. The same could be said for any game if that was the case. A legal and responsible gun owner is only such to the point whereby they are not, as in a person is legal and responsible until they have a bad day at the office and decide to rake the place with gunfire.

What you are saying is completely subjective actually. Boy the NRA puts out an app with guns that shoot targets and has information on it about gun safety and people go nuts. Where were all these people two days ago complaiing about the 1000s of other apps out there where you actually shoot people. I play a lot of sniper games on the ipad. You get rewarded for shooting people in the head. Why no outcry?

Seeing how many people have downloaded the Apple version...and thanks to the liberal press for the free advertising of it...I'm sure an Android version is in the works.

I dont see anything wrong with the app...but perhaps the timing and their intent was questionable?

Exactly. And they probably got exactly what they wanted with all this press. But along with their timing, they surely expected some people not happy on the other side, especially if they ironically said we need to look at video games and hollywood.

I just think its hypocritical of the NRA to release a video game with guns shooting things when at their press conference they blamed Video games for their violence.

Video games violence leading towards gun violence is as responsible as hockey video games are to me landing a hooking penalty.

Agreed. I literally would fight for my right to party. Hence, music leads to violence.
