Seth Mcfarlane is doing a great job making the uppity crowd feel uneasy.

"The youngest nominee is 9 years old. Which means 16 years until she is off Clooney's radar." (paraphrasing)
He who forgets will be destined to remember.

I'm bored. It feels like I've already watched it for 3 hours. (I liked Goldfinger though - kind of retro and weird.)

Can't make up my mind about Seth.

Did anybody see "The Master"? I couldn't find it anywhere in theaters when it was out, comes out on DVD this week already.. I like Philip Seymour Hoffman & Joaquin Phoenix.. looking forward to seeing this movie..

I saw it. PTA is a genius. Joaquin gave one of the best performances of the year, and one of the best ive ever seen. The character he created is a thing of absolute beauty. No one other than PTA could follow up Blood, with a film of this magnitude. As I said, Joaquin suffered as a result of PTA releasing the film during a DDL year. Otherwise he'd be winning best actor. The film is bizaare, understated, and pretty much what any fan of PTA would expect. Joaquin created this character that speaks from the side of his mouth, thats a creep, and that has a distinctive walk. The walk and sideways mouth talk were his creations. Incredible cast and crew and Jonny Greenwood did the soundtrack. The scene in the jail cell was a single take, the first take and one of the most incredible scenes Ive ever witnessed.

  • i thought he did a great job with life of pi, but i think spielberg clearly deserved it.
  • wow very surprising this year. Jennifer lawrence should have won for winters bone a few years back. This year I think Chastain clearly should have won.
  • i wonder if they will choose someone other than DDL for best actor
  • guess not. the most well deserved oscar of the night
  • wow that was a bizaare collection of awards. not sure i really agree with anything beyond best actor, although everyone who won was great in their films

I definitely think he's up there. But Brando or Bogart or Cary Grant or James Dean or Deniro or Pacino or Hoffman cant be out of the conversation either.

No doubt about that. All legends. DDL just continues to blow me away.
