I think they nailed the nominees in all categories this year. Only thing I wish had been nominated is Moonrise Kingdom and Wes Anderson. although it is nominated for screenplay

Leonardo DiCaprio should have got a nod for Django.

Waltz deserved his nomination, but you know he won't win it since he just won a couple of years back.

Doesn't matter. Tom Hanks was nominated for Best Actor for 3 years in a row (93-95) and won twice, back to back. Daniel Day Lewis won Best Actor in 07 for There Will Be Blood and I will be shocked if he doesn't win tonight.

I think Christolph Waltz played a great part in Django. If he doesn't win, I hope it's Alan Arkin for Argo.

DDL also won in 1990, I believe, for "My Left Foot," which is sitting on the DVR, waiting to be watched. He has to win tonight. No better performance than his.

I think deniro is going to get it. i was less impressed with waltz. He's a great actor but i thought he was more impressive in Inglorious.

I agree with most of your predictions. I think Spielbergs getting best director though.

Its going to be Chastain, Deniro, DDL, Hathaway, Spielberg, and probably Argo. In my view though the best film of the year wasnt even nominated for best picture-and thats Moonrise Kingdom.

Id love it if Lincoln swept everything though.

Jennifer Lawrence is an amazing actress and was great in Silver Linings but i was far more blown away by Chastain.

i couldn't take my eyes off of jennifer lawrence in 'slp'...chastain was great but there was more going on in 'zdt'

Whyyyy does it have to be a Sunday night? :( I'd love to watch the Oscars, but since it starts aroung 3 AM my time, there's no way. Watched it one year, I was in work Sunday afternoon, came home and went to sleep, woke up that night, watched the show, went back to sleep for an hour after it at 7 AM and then to work by 10 AM. Good times.

Anyway, I'm hoping Hugh Jackman wins, but I realise that it's not very likely.

All these were real good. I picked Wreck-It Ralph. ParaNorman was in some of my friends top 10 lists. Even Pirates! Band Of Misfits was decent. Brave was good, but I don't believe the best animated movie. Should be one the most interesting categories.
