why did authorities say the bodies would be left until sunday, then taken out overnight under the cover of darkness?
did lanza kill himself with a rifle or a handgun?

which i think would / could be answered pretty simply and end all of the conspiracy talk, very odd if you ask me.

I think much (not all, but much) of the confusion here was caused by rushed and shoddy early reporting.

That said...

Why would there be surveillance video of an elementary school? No video or still pics of the crime scene and victims should ever be released.

And I don't know for sure, but I would guess the bodies were removed at night to prevent a media circus. If that is the case I think it was the right decision.

That said...

You are right, I hadn't put two and two together on the front door buzzer. There must be footage. Maybe it has all been confiscated by the police pending investigation? Although with the shooter dead I don't know what they would be investigating.

I can see the need for the victims and their families to have those questions addressed. I'm not sure we, as outsiders, have the right to demand answers on those particulars.

As to the circus, again - back to the families. It would break my heart and soul all over again and again to see images broadcast of the dead body (covered or not) of someone I love. Simple respect, maybe?

Remember Columbine? Remember how long it was before they released the cafeteria survellience pictures? It was months after the mass murders.
People are still trying to piece together all the little bits of information from the various crime scenes. They don't care if it make the news or not... they just want to reconstruct the events in a timeline that shows what actually happened... not what people wanted to happen. There is not going to be a criminal court case where the evidence is brought to public light in a public trial... as we are seeing in the current trial of the Aurora Theater murdering prick... because the Newtown murdering prick took care of that, too.

Why people want photos/security footage of the crime baffles me. I certainly don't. Let the families heal. Do you think they really want to see pools of blood on the floor of the classrooms and office where the children and faculty died?

We had to go through the horrific crime of the Cheshire home invasion and during the trials of the two pricks, they showed photos of the house and the bedrooms of the girls. It was too much. Having to watch the local news every night while having dinner (parents watch it), hearing about this and now Newtown, it depresses me.

I think it's the instant gratification of our modern society. We want it and we want it NOW!

In my field... we have to provide all sorts of information regarding a plane that crashes. We have to freeze any data concerning the ship's number including ship build records, maintenence records, modifications, retrofits, repairs, everything. We turn it over to investigators who comb through everything. It takes years to come up with a picture that portrays the total truth of what happened.
The thing that really cracks me up about all of this... is the People who believe that OUR Government can pull something of this magnitude... and at the same time believe they can't tie their own shoelaces? What is it... one or the other... it can't be both.

i dont put much stock in these (webpage) theories because mistakes can happen, as google offered. plus having some computer knowledge i know that a page can be created and then edited later while keeping the original creation date, depends on the settings its edited under. so if the united way created a page on the 11th to help "abc" cause then edited from "abc" cause to sandy hook on the 14th it MAY still show the original creation date.

It is not the asking of questions... it is coming up with a conclusion without all of the facts at your disposal that makes this guy a JackAss.
Sure... ask questions. But... WAIT for truthful answers before reaching a conclusion that fits a pre-determined agenda. That's all.

There was car accident here (Albany, NY area) on Dec 1st, where two high school students were killed after being hit by someone. From the start, there were people clamoring for charges, and as the days went on, the police were getting flack for "letting this guy off", and "doing nothing" etc etc etc... On Jan 5th, he was arrested, and then arraigned on 59 counts, including 52 felonies.

It took them a month to get an investigation done on a traffic accident only involving two vehicles... things take time to get done and get done right. I'm sure those people asking for instant answers/instant judgement would have been thrilled if charges got tossed just because things were rushed.

The reason why story doesn't add up because you don't have the complete story. If you don't have the complete story... you are not going to arrive at the truth. and getting the complete story is going to be a very difficult task that is going to take a long time because the principle witnesses to the truth of how this could have happened... the murderer and his victims... cannot provide statements.
