Doctor was thrilled with me.

Have you been doing anything different to lose that weight? Thats a good amount of weight to lose in 2 months, that actually has me a little concerned, being a doctor myself.

I think you should go to the doctor.
And so you see, I have come to doubt

That's a lot of weight to be losing in such a short amount of time. Did he do your blood work at that time?
  • i havent seen a real doctor since my HS baseball physical, and who knows how thorough that really was. Been about 15-16 years (with lots of smoking, drinking and drug use since then). Pretty sure I should get checked up but I'm nervous what I may find out. What does a full physical consist of these days?
and glad everything checked out ok speedy

    How old are you?
Over 40 and you get a finger or two up your ass.
    Blood pressure test
They'll want you to get your blood levels checked
    Basic heart/reflex/mouth/ear tests

Dr. Joseph Dolan: Right. Now, how long have you had these pains, Mr. Barber?
    Fletch: No, that's "Babar".
    Dr. Joseph Dolan: Two B's?
    Fletch: One B. B-A-B-A-R.
    Dr. Joseph Dolan: That's two.
Fletch: Yeah, but not right next to each other. I thought that's what you meant.
Dr. Joseph Dolan: Arnold Babar. Isn't there a children's book about an elephant named Babar?
    Fletch: I don't know. I don't have any.
    Dr. Joseph Dolan: No children?
    Fletch: No elephant books.

I completely, and I mean COMPLETELY changed my eating habits. I am probably getting 1800-2000 calories a day. Its all tuna, chicken, homemade chicken soup with vegetables, tons of tomatoes and cottage cheese. I have basically eliminated all junk food and red meat(I had red meat twice over the holidays). I cut my soda to 1-2 cans a day(if that). I now drink my coffee black or with skim milk (used to go through a half gallon of half-half a week). I still have a good 40lbs to lose. But I am happy I was able to do this during the "Holiday Season" when everyone else is gaining weight. And yes I had blood work done today, and I should have the results in a couple days, I would think.

I pounded half-half in my coffee like nobodys business. I bet I was DRINKING 1000 calories a day in half-half.

    WTF?

    :P :P

And no its not easy. But after 8 weeks, I am passed the point of "Damn a cheeseburger sounds good". You know what I mean.... I just get up in the mid morning(work nights), and I make my tuna or chicken sandwich on low carb wheat, I slice my 3 tomatoes and mix in the cottage cheese, I heat up my soup and throw it in the thermos, and thats that. I throw that all in my lunch cooler and I dont think twice about it. For breakfast I have a couple scrambled eggs, or a protein shake. Fuck it, its working and I am happy. I am also taking a multi vitamin.

The 1st 3 weeks of this routine sucked, no doubt, but now its just what I do.

    YIKES!!!!

I want my coffee room temp. I want my coffee drinkable...I guzzled the shit down...By the gallons...So it would always be half-half by the cupfull.

    THATS ALL CHANGED!!

  • Good work Speedy, keep it up!

I had to cut out rum. A 1.75 liter per week is a ton of sugar.
