Can someone tell me why they like these guys so much?

I know they're huge Pearl Jam fans but I just cant get around to liking them. I've tried but they just sound like a non-punk Against me...

Maybe I'm way off but from the stuff I've heard, It just sounds like something that was already done by someone else...

I picked one up earlier and mentioned it on the Gaslight thread. This release wasn't mentioned at all... Saw it limited out of 50 when I got the email today about the fanclub only poster that went on sale out of 250. Sold out in a few minutes and luckily I snagged one of both of these items.

And go see them live... Great act and way better than their albums. Fallon is by far the most talented and carries the band to a point I think, but they mix up setlists, and it's not the typical crowd banter at every show. He is a legit frontman that just gets it. I think them and MMJ are the best acts going right now outside of the already established acts.

I discovered them through their cover of SOLAT a few years back, started watching videos of them on youtube and once I heard this song i was hooked

Yup. Drive and The Backseat are two rockin songs live...I saw them in AC this summer and only knew one song. It was the only time I willingly dropped back from the front row because it was getting way too intense. They really got my attention that show since I was really only there to see Cage the Elephant. I couldn't figure out why they were the openers and then Gaslight came on and shocked me.

Yeah, thanks again for the hookup. Snagged both yesterday. How do you know that the fanclub poster sold out? I tried the link today and could still add one to my cart.

Saw a signed (by the whole band) copy of the poster on El Jefe's FB page a while back. I wonder if random posters will be singed. It would be cool if the band did something special like that, especially because its the first year of the club

Hmm that's weird because I checked back after I bought mine just to see if it was gone and the picture of the poster was completely off. Strange ... 8-)

KInd of surprising that the signed LP is still available. Only 50 signed and you can still buy one 48 hours later? Wow. Either Gaslight Fans aren't that observant, or they don't care about merchandise much.
